Tonight.

Playing the Sun down...

Not a bad thing to do on a Friday night to kick off another sweet weekend in the greatest city on the planet.

I'm heading down to Pier 45 to hang with "the below fourteenth street" crowd tonight. The MUSIC STARTS AT 7:00 It's a very cool thing. Just take the #1 train to Christopher Street and walk west until you either see me, or you get wet, or wind up in Jersey. (I'll be hangin' out in the middle of the Hudson River at the end of Pier 45.) Gotta be a cool breeze out there!!!

A few weeks ago, 3 lovely people were visiting NYC from Scotland and came specifically to hang with me in Central Park and down at the "Sunset Concert". Here are a handful of photos they sent me from across the ocean.

Then tomorrow, back out to "The Hill" in Central Park!

The weather is lookin' like it's gonna be perfect for both gigs. So if you're staying in town while all the really annoying people head to The Hamptons, I hope I see you out there hangin' with me and a few thousand of our closest friends.

Again... for any newcomers who heard the song about "Hermione" in Central Park last weekend -- I told you that the video is a lot of fun.

The new song and music video about "Hermione..." is making it's way out there into the world. (And now it's available on itunes!) And the song about "Facebook..." is still being shared by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. It's a very cool... very strange time in which we live!

Let's get right to the "Harry Potter" video. Seriously! When I get an idea that is this silly, this fun, this ridiculous... it just HAS to be done!

HERE'S THE SONG AND VIDEO!

Now one more thing about that song!

IT IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD!!!

I'm serious!

Now you can download the song itself, and walk around with it in your ipod or mp3 player and sing it to yourself on the bus, in the subway, in the car... while you're on facebook.

Okay now... for anyone who's new around here... go back through the Archive and catch up a little.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
