Sunday, August 15, 2010

Well, here we are again on a Sunday morning at the website.

On Sunday mornings in the summer, after I've spent the past 36 hours with a guitar on my shoulder, sharing music and laughs with so, so many beautiful people... the feeling is something that is tough to describe.

But as always I hafta start out by simply saying...

THANKS AGAIN.

Were you out there with me in Central Park this weekend?

Were you down in The Village with me on Friday night?

I'm gonna be posting photos from both gigs here, so check back and see if YOU show up here at the site.

Yesterday in Central Park

Seriously.... stop back in a little while. I'm gonna have lots of photos that were taken by Laura Manske yesterday and then sent in to the website.

Friday night on the Pier

And if you signed the email book so that you miss any of the off-season indoor concerts like the "Something'th Annual Year-End Concert" at Merkin Concert Hall in December, I should tell you that I'll enter your address into the data base later today or tomorrow.

Seriously, what an incredibly wonderful day yesterday and what an extraordinarily cool night on Friday! Teresa Reynolds showed up for the first time down on Pier 45 and... well, she just made the gig so much more special as she always does when she shows up to sing.

And then YESTERDAY!

Damn! What can I say about yesterday in Central Park!?

F*ckin' amazing!

IT IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD!!!

I'm serious!

Now you can download the song itself, and walk around with it in your ipod or mp3 player and sing it to yourself on the bus, in the subway, in the car... while you're on facebook.

OKAY!

Now, that other song about "Facebook... Idiot" is still rocketing around the world. As of today, almost a quarter of a million people all around the planet are passing it around. (Must struck a chord inside a few people.)

If you haven't seen it yet...

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
