Man!

I say this all the time. But I honestly feel like the luckiest man alive!

Y'know? Life is an amazing ride. It's filled with challenges, and successes, and frustrations, and loneliness, and fun times, and laughter, and nearly-unbearable sorrow, and nearly-unbearable joy, and breathtaking beauty, and anger, and forgiveness.... and through it all, it's filled with just the most incredible opportunities to grow.

But... my life is also filled with MUSIC!

And with all of you!

Damn!

What a weekend! First on played Pier 45 down in The Village on Friday night. Then it was back home to "The Hill" in Central Park on Saturday afternoon.

I'll be posting images from both gigs all week here at the site.

Okay listen!

I know there are people checking in here from different parts of the country and different parts of the world. And after each summer weekend when I've gotten to share music and laughs with a few thousand more people, I know that an awful lot of you are new around here. If that's you, you can go back through the Archive and catch up a little.

Now this past weekend I rolled out a brand new song that is making it's way around the world on the heels of the song "Facebook is a Stupid Idiot".

This one is a song about "Hermione Granger" from the Harry Potter series of books and movies -- and I told you that the video is a lot of fun. Right now it's just started to get passed around the world and is being shared by thousands of people worldwide. It's a very cool... very strange time in which we live!

Let's get right to the "Harry Potter" video. Seriously! When I get an idea that is this silly, this fun, this ridiculous... it just HAS to be done!

HERE'S THE NEW SONG AND VIDEO!

Now one more thing about that song!

IT IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD!!!

I'm serious!

Now you can download the song itself, and walk around with it in your ipod or mp3 player and sing it to yourself on the bus, in the subway, in the car... while you're on facebook.

.

If you like this song and video, go ahead and send the link to everyone you know if you think it might make them smile.

ROCK on!!!

And if you wanna leave a comment about the song or have any questions about the video, just go ahead and leave a comment here!

Okay, I'm gonna be back here tomorrow with even more photos from both the Friday night gig and Saturday afternoon. And I've got some good news.

We have the Special Events Permits for the next 3 Saturdays in Central Park.

Here's a little photo gallery that's growing every week thanks to people like Sean Friedman, Mary Saliba, Jaan Lutter, Mike Lancaster and others who send in their work... especially Laura Manske!)

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
