I wanna welcome everyone who's checkin' in from a different part of the country or a different part of the world. Did you guys all catch the fact that this week the new music video fro the song about the final Harry Potter movies made an appearance as a feature in the Seventeen Magazine blog called Cosmo Girl? (More about that a little further down the page.)
But okay... another weekend of music comin' up! I love this time of year!!!
Okay, so kind of a rainy day in New York City yesterday. But I think the beautiful weather is here to hang around for a few days. So "Sunset on the Hudson" concert series is gonna be a "Go" tonight.
Click on the photos for larger image . . .
If you're gonna be in town, head downtown with me to hang with "the below fourteenth street" crowd tonight. The MUSIC STARTS AT 7:00 It's a very cool thing. Just take the #1 train to Christopher Street and walk west until you either see me, or you get wet, or wind up in Jersey. (I'll be hangin' out in the middle of the Hudson River at the end of Pier 45.)
.
And then TOMORROW!
It's back to "The Hill" in Central Park.
Who's the luckiest independent artist in New York? It's me right?
Holy shit! Once again I'm about to begin another 36 hours that will contain 2 really casual, really amazing, really unusual, really "real" gigs in the greatest city on the planet, surrounded by thousands of people from all over the country and all over the world.
.
The weather is lookin' like it's gonna be perfect for tomorrow. So if you're staying in town while all the really annoying people head to The Hamptons, I hope I see you out there hangin' with me and a few thousand of our closest friends. For anyone who's new around here... go back through the Archive and catch up a little.

The new song and music video about "Hermione..." is making it's way out there into the world. (And now it's available on itunes!) And the song about "Facebook..." is still being shared by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. It's a very cool... very strange time in which we live!
Let's get right to the "Harry Potter" video. Seriously! When I get an idea that is this silly, this fun, this ridiculous... it just HAS to be done!
HERE'S THE SONG AND VIDEO!

Now one more thing about that song!
IT IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD!!!
I'm serious!
Now you can download the song itself, and walk around with it in your ipod or mp3 player and sing it to yourself on the bus, in the subway, in the car... while you're on facebook.
.
I posted this earlier this week -- But gotta tell you again! Two of the freakiest things have happened with 2 of my silliest songs. The music video for "Facebook is a Stupid Idiot" has been watched and shared by nearly a quarter of a million people around the planet.
And then this newest song about the upcoming Harry Potter movie was just published in Seventeen Magazine.
Check this out!!!!

This week I've been working on a brand new song. Nelson Montana laid down a brilliant bass part for it and George Wurzbach is in the process of sending me the piano part. I'll give you guys a little preview as soon as I've got a rough-mix in my hands.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
