We have a lot of fun around here. And this is the time of year when here in New York we get to hang together on a regular weekly basis... in Central Park.

ROCK ON!
This Friday night, we'll play the Sun down again on Pier 45. And then this Saturday, I have a feeling the weather is gonna be picture-perfect again for another typically amazing afternoon of music and laughs at "The Hill" in Central Park.
Speaking of laughs... here's the brand new song and music video that just started makin' it's way around the internet. When I get an idea that is this silly, this fun, this ridiculous... it just HAS to be done!

Now one more thing about that song!
IT IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD!!!
I'm serious!
Now you can download the song itself, and walk around with it in your ipod or mp3 player and sing it to yourself on the bus, in the subway, in the car... while you're on facebook.
.
Okay now...
Here's a little photo gallery that's growing every week thanks to people like Sean Friedman, Mary Saliba, Jaan Lutter, Mike Lancaster and others who send in their work... especially Laura Manske!)

Okay, for anyone who's new around here... go back through the Archive and catch up a little.
I guess as an American singer/songwriter, certain things come with the job description. Certain things come with the territory. (And some things are just in the make-up of my character as a man.)
And lately... I'm thinking that it's gonna be part of my job in the next few years to occasionally shine a brighter spotlight on the shameless shill for the Republican Party, the hypocritical bullshit mill, the blatant propaganda factory, Right-Wing media center and insidiously harmful entity that is... FOX.
(I can't call it FOX "NEWS" because I would then be as misleading as that organization is. We'll just call it FOX.)

There will be many songs to write in the next few months and years... a wealth of material for anyone interested in Reason, Principle and Honesty. And anyone who gets a real kick out of absurdity and out of making fun of the socially-ridiculous will have fun, too.
I wanna start by pointing out something that even a fifth grader could see coming from about a half a block away. Gallup recently did a poll. Republicans were asked about the favorability of people they felt would run for president in 2012. Here are the frightening and yet laughably revealing results.
.
Notice something?
THE TOP 3 ARE ALL ON THE FOX PAYROLL!!!
.
No shit.
.
If you're one of those people who likes to say they get their "news" from FOX, then you're either in denial, an idiot.... or just someone who doesn't care and wants someone to tell them what they want to hear regardless of the facts. Regard it the same way you would a partisan website. Think of it in the same way as a partisan magazine or blog. Consider it an entertainment network if you like. But news?
No.
'nough said for now.

Back to the fun.
Now, that song about "Facebook... Idiot" is still rocketing around the world. Hundreds of thousands of people all around the planet are passing it around. (Must struck a chord inside a few people.)
If you haven't seen it yet...

Pass it on to all you friends. Post in anywhere you want! Now one more thing about that "facebook" song! You can also get that one for yourself!
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
