Well, I always say this... I know that an awful lot of you check in here every day from different parts of the country and different parts of the world.

Here in New York City, Man! We're havin' us a good o'l fashioned heat wave.

But it's July! What'd'you expect?

That's one really great thing about being back at "The Hill" in Central Park as opposed to "The Away Game" on the other side of the lake like we were last year at this time. Remember? There was NO shade on Cherry Hill and everyone was crammed on one side or the other. The middle of the lawn was like a frying pan.

At "The Hill", nearly all of the crowd is in the shade of those beautiful trees for most of the day.

And today... MAN! I am working on a song that will be a follow-up to the "Facebook Song" and I'm havin' a blast with it!!!! Seriously! This idea is just sooooooo much fun. I can't wait to spring it on you guys!!!!! Already have Nelson Montana laying down the bass tracks and Teresa Reynolds comin' over later to lay down some vocal parts.

What a Life!

Hey listen...

I'm gonna be back down on Pier 45 in Hudson River Park tomorrow night as the "Sunset on the Hudson" concert series picks back up. But if the weather is lookin' unsettled, make sure you check in here first. Naturally, as always, my outdoor gigs are "weather-permitting".

Same thing on Saturday. I'll be heading back in Central Park.

We're having a great season so far. If you've been out there and you have any photos you'd like to share with the world, send them into this site. Maybe we'll get them posted here.

This gallery is growing every week thanks to people like Sean Friedman, Mary Saliba, Jaan Lutter, Mike Lancaster and others who send in their work... especially Laura Manske!)

Now!!!!

IN YESTERDAY'S UPDATE... I told you guys that the video for my song about Facebook wound up in a blog by Zoe Ruderman for Cosmopolitan Magazine.

Go check it out. I had fun talkin' to her about the song and the video.

It's so cool. Over a hundred thousand people all around the planet are passing it around. (Must struck a chord inside a few people.)

If you haven't seen it yet...

Click to watch the video of the new facebook song

Pass it on to all you friends. Post in anywhere you want!

Okay, for anyone who's new around here... go back through the Archive and catch up a little. And here are a few videos to make you smile.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
