Welcome to the website for a Thursday here in New York City.

FIRST OF ALL -- YES!

We have the permit for this coming Saturday and the next. So keep your fingers crossed for good weather and we'll hang together and share some music and laughs under the shade of some big ol' trees by The Lake.

Man! I've had quite a week or so. A real roller-coaster. Emotional... up and down... sideways... but all Good. Got a lot of really good work done and I just started workin' on a new song I was inspired to write this week. It's not another silly or satirical song.... something from the heart.

Maybe I'll be able to run it by you guys this weekend. (Probably not. It's still writing itself. But soon.)

.

.

Still...

A NEW SONG AND VIDEO COMIN' SOON!

I do have a brand new, really silly song that is finished and ready to go to Youtube. I'm just waiting for it to go LIVE on itunes before I spring on you guys. Might be as soon as next week. When I release it, I'm gonna ask for all of your help getting it out to the world. I mean, I'm gonna ask you to send the link to EVERYONE you know. I just think it's a really fun idea and something that will make an awful lotta people smile and even laugh out loud.

DID YOU SEE THE VERY FIRST HARRY POTTER MOVIE 10 YEARS AGO? HAVE YOU SEEN ANY OF THE HARRY POTTER MOVIES?

If you have, I think you're gonna love this new song and video.

Keep checking back.

Oh listen... YES! Tomorrow night the "Sunset on the Hudson" concert series continues. I'm gonna head down to Pier 45 in Hudson River Park to play the Sun down again and kick off the weekend. MUSIC STARTS AT 7:00 It's a very cool thing. Just take the #1 train to Christopher Street and walk west until you either see me, or you get wet, or wind up in Jersey. (I'll be hangin' out in the middle of the Hudson River at the end of Pier 45.) Gotta be a cool breeze out there!!!

Welcome to all of you stopping by who live in different parts of the country and different parts of the world. Here in New York City, we're still in the middle of a bit of a heat-wave.

Well, actually... I don't know if we should call it a heat-wave or if we should just call it... um... Summer.

.

I guess the wild news for today is that the "Facebook... Idiot" song is rocketing around the world. Tens of thousands of people all around the planet are passing it around. (Must struck a chord inside a few people.)

If you haven't seen it yet...

Pass it on to all you friends. Post in anywhere you want! Now one more thing about that "facebook" song!

IT IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD!!!

I'm serious!

Now you can download the song itself, and walk around with it in your ipod or mp3 player and sing it to yourself on the bus, in the subway, in the car.... while you're on facebook.

Click on this link and get the song right now!!!

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
