Okay!

I'm back.

First thing... gotta say, I'm lovin' the fact that "Facebook is a Stupid Idiot" is circling the planet. And the comments are coming fast and furious. So far...

This might be my favorite. Someone wrote:

"this is stuiped "

.

AND NOW THE SONG IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD!!!

I'm serious!

Now you can download the song itself, and walk around with it in your ipod or mp3 player and sing it to yourself on the bus, in the subway, in the car.... while you're on facebook.

Just great! Moving on.

For some reason, I was really, really physically wiped out from my 2-day stretch of gigs this weekend. So that's the reason there was no "real" update yesterday. (Well, that... and the fact not only am I working on the next music video that's gonna make you guys howl, I also had an awful lot of photos from the weekend to edit and thumbnail!)

We had a great day in Central Park on Saturday.

Me and Aubrey

The forecasted line of rain and thunderstorms that brought so much rain to New Jersey split right in two, heading both north and south of Central Park then reforming out over Long Island. It was very weird... a little bubble of better weather right over much of the island of Manhattan. So even though the skies looked a little ominous at times, we just hung out on "The Hill" and shared music, and stories and laughs all day.

Sky over Manhattan Saturday

Were you out there with me?

That amazing singer Teresa Reynolds joined me again. It was great. Laura Manske was out there again with her camera and caught so many cool moments and so many smiling faces of New Yorkers, people from across the country and from all over the world.

. . . . . . . . . . . .

I'll have more photos from this past Saturday tomorrow. So if you were hangin' out with me and you didn't see yourself here today, check back tomorrow.

.

We also had another amazing night down in The Village on Pier 45 on Friday night with the "below-fourteenth-street" crowd.

.

Like I said, I'll be back with more photos from the weekend tomorrow.

I hafta get back to work on the new song and video.

I guess the wild news from last week was that the "Facebook... Idiot" song just started rocketing around the world. Tens of thousands... no... over 150,000 people all around the planet are passing it around. (Must struck a chord inside a few people.)

If you haven't seen it yet...

Pass it on to all you friends. Post in anywhere you want!

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
