A song that took me 2 days to write is rocketing around the internet. In the last 72 hours it has gone nuts in India. I'm lovin' this!!! Hell, the population of India is well over a billion people! I think this little song has legs.
BTW -- if anyone in your life ever told you that "you are one-in-a-million".... that means there are over a 1,000 people in India who are exactly like you!
So, for all my new friends from India... again...
.
Okay, moving on!!!
Yes I will be in Central Park on Saturday. And I've got a couple of surprises for you. If you're gonna be here in town, grab a few friends and come hang out with me. Y'never know what's gonna happen out there but it's always cool.
Okay?
So I hope I see a thousand of your beautiful, shining faces on Saturday.
.
AND TODAY!!!!
If you're not doing anything today at 1:00 in the afternoon, head over to The Bandshell near the 72nd Street transverse in Central Park. George Wurzbach and I are gonna do a few songs for the Sing for Hope project here in town. We'll most definitely be posting video of it here at the website if you can't make it. But if you're in town and you're not doing anything, we'd love the company.
Well listen... Okay, for anyone who's new around here... go back through the Archive and catch up a little. And here are a few videos to make you smile.
As much as I love writing songs, I get an even bigger charge from watching you guys smile and hearing you singin' the words to many of my original songs. What a blast!
AND THIS COMING WEEKEND!!!!!
If you're not leaving town for the holiday weekend, plan on grabbing a few friends and hangin' out with me on Saturday afternoon. I'm gonna have a couple of very special things goin' on out there that day!
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
