But with absolute certainty that we're gonna wind up someplace... wonderful.

HEY! Welcome to all of you checkin' in here from different parts of the country and different parts of the world.
Okay, so here in New York City it's over 90 degrees every day. (But, when you factor in the humidity it actually feels like 412 degrees.)
BUT! The beautiful little patch of Central Park that we've been calling "The Hill" for the past 19 years is under the shade of enormous and full trees, and there's almost always a little breeze blowing off the Lake. So this coming Saturday afternoon if you're gonna be in town, why don't you plan on grabbing a friend or two and coming out.... or come and hang by yourself. There are always sweet people there and it's a really cool hang.
Oh listen... in the last couple of days, I've gotten some really sad news about an old friend of mine. Also caught another Yankees Old Timer's Day with a good friend. Also got a kind of thoughtless but unintentionally hurtful text during that game. I also had my hopes up about something else I thought might be potentially wonderful.... but, that turned out differently. I also finished work on a brand new video that I feel really, really good about. (I think it's gonna make an awful lot of people smile and even laugh out loud.)
So emotionally, it's been a typically amazing roller-coaster of a week.
But that's Life. And Life is amazing.
And I'm already looking forward to putting my guitar on my shoulder and heading downtown on Friday night, and back to "The Hill" in Central Park on Saturday.
I love you guys.
AND! That ridiculous song of mine about Facebook is continuing to make friends for me all around the planet. "Facebook is a Stupid Idiot" is making it's way around the world and that's a blast.
In fact last week the song was played by a buddy of mine across the ocean. Dominic King of BBC in the UK had a lot of fun with the song on his drive-time radio show. If you wanna hear a little bit of it, click on this link:
I'm working on a new song and a new video to follow it up. BUT in this new one... I'm gonna let you guys in on a secret about the final Harry Potter movie that will be out this fall. You won't hear about it in magazines or any of those "inside show business behind-the-scenes" shows. You'll just hafta wait for my new song and video.(More about that in a minute.)
Now one more thing about that "facebook" song!
IT IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD!!!
I'm serious!
Now you can download the song itself, and walk around with it in your ipod or mp3 player and sing it to yourself on the bus, in the subway, in the car.... while you're on facebook.
Click on this link and get the song right now!!!

Just great! Moving on.

Okay, if you're in NYC I hope I see you at Pier 45 on Friday night or in Central Park on Saturday.
Here's a little photo gallery that's growing every week thanks to people like Sean Friedman, Mary Saliba, Jaan Lutter, Mike Lancaster and others who send in their work... especially Laura Manske!)

And here are some of the fun videos which people have been passing around.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
