Okay. Okay. We didn't get to hang together in Central Park on Saturday. But we had a great night on Friday night down in The Village on Pier 45 and I had... well, I've had a really good couple of days.
The ridiculously fun new song and music video about the upcoming Harry Potter movie is in the can and ready to go. Keep checking back for that one!
And hopefully, keep your fingers crossed for good weather this coming Saturday and I'll see you out at "The Hill" in Central Park again.

Welcome to all of you stopping by who live in different parts of the country and different parts of the world. Here in New York City, we're still in the middle of a bit of a heat-wave.
Well, actually... I don't know if we should call it a heat-wave or if we should just call it... um... Summer.
But listen, a couple of things.
FIRST -- I'm writing a new song this week. It's not one of those silly songs and I'm loving the inspiration for it and where it's going. It's one of those songs that just sprung from a feeling. It's the kind of a feeling to which many people would possibly embarrassed to admit. But in recent years, I've become increasingly comfortable with my "human-ness". So I have a pretty good feeling I'm not alone in this feeling.
ANYWAY.... who knows? Maybe I'll be able to run a rough draft by you guys this weekend.
TODAY -- someone emailed me and requested that I share a little video with you from last summer in Central Park.
It's one of those "Uniquely New York Moments" that happen here on a regular basis.
So today, besides my new song "Facebook is a Stupid Idiot", I wanna share another moment from Central Park that happened last season.
Very cool.

This was pretty cool.
I guess the wild news for today is that the "Facebook... Idiot" song is rocketing around the world. Tens of thousands of people all around the planet are passing it around. (Must struck a chord inside a few people.)
If you haven't seen it yet...

Pass it on to all you friends. Post in anywhere you want!

Okay, listen guys. We'll be out in Central Park again this Saturday. We didn't get out there this past weekend, but we did get to hang on Pier 45 in the Village on Friday night.
Welcome to everyone checkin' in here from across the country and around the world. Here in NYC we had a wonderful time in Hudson River Park on Friday night!
If you were down there with me, you know. We sang, We laughed. Fellow singer/songwriter Mark Aaron James stopped by to do a song. That little man, Jacob, got up and cranked out The Rolling Stones "You Can't Always Get What You Want". You guys got to see a beautiful sunset... but I got to see all your shining faces.
Very cool.
Here are some images sent in to the website by Laura Manske.

I'm also absolutely chompin' at the bit to release another brand new song and video!!!
I can't do that until all the pieces are in place. But, I can ask you guys this...
How many of you saw the very first Harry Potter movie 10 years ago? How many of you think you might see the final installments that are coming out this Fall?
.
I wrote a brand new song and, this past week, shot a video to go along with it. Keep checking back. It will be released on this website first!
In the meantime... Here's a little photo gallery that's growing every week thanks to people like Sean Friedman, Mary Saliba, Jaan Lutter, Mike Lancaster and others who send in their work... especially Laura Manske!)

And here are some of the fun videos which people have been passing around.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
