Hi -- welcome to the website.

.

.

Wanna say something about... Life.

It's something all of you probably know already. But I got a phone call yesterday with a bit of sad news, and it made me want to start this update with these thoughts.

Y'know? Life is a wonder.

Life is hard.

It's so amazingly wonderful and consistently mysterious.

Life is fun.

It's so much fun.

It's so incredibly sad.

Really, really so, so sad.

Life is easy, effortless at times and always filled with inspiration and infinite Creativity.

But it's intensely painful and filled with such intolerable cruelty.

Life is filled with beautiful, well-meaning, caring, lovong, Creative, kind people.

And there are a lot of selfish jerks and real assholes walkin' around.

Just as a final, tear-filled scene at the end of your favorite movie can make the entire 2-hour journey worthwhile -- so can one act of forgiveness or one "Ah-ha moment" make the entire journey of a Life worthwhile.

Life is sloppy. Life is graceful. Life is ugly.

Life is beautiful.

All at the same time.

Life is...

.

.

Ah, fuck it. Life is... life.

Okay today... today is a fun. I'm meeting with one of the artists who collaborated on my song, "Resolution", to begin shooting a really fun, completely silly video.

Today is gonna be all about silliness and making people smile. (That can be hard work!) But it's what I do. That's what many of my fellow-artists do... and it's fun!

So we'll be out in the city today shooting a video to go along with the next song to follow-up the "Facebook..." song. This one os about a little secret in the next and final installments of the Harry Potter series.

BTW -- ON TUESDAY... the song was played by a buddy of mine across the ocean. Dominic King of BBC in the UK had a lot of fun with the song on his drive-time radio show. If you wanna hear a little bit of it, click on this link:

Now one more thing about that "facebook" song!

IT IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD!!!

I'm serious!

Now you can download the song itself, and walk around with it in your ipod or mp3 player and sing it to yourself on the bus, in the subway, in the car.... while you're on facebook.

Click on this link and get the song right now!!!

Just great! Moving on.

IF YOU HAVE SPENT ANY TIME WITH ME IN CENTRAL PARK THIS SUMMER... your photo might be in one of our galleries!

Y'know what's so cool?

Every single weekend I get to do another mini-world tour... a mini national tour... but people from all across the country and all around the world come to my little backyard, my little venue right here in the middle of the coolest city on earth.

Okay, if you're in NYC I hope I see you at Pier 45 tomorrow night or in Central Park on Saturday. (Right now Saturday is still a little tentative, but keep checking back. So far The Permit Office is withholding our Special Events Permit again.)

Here's a little photo gallery that's growing every week thanks to people like Sean Friedman, Mary Saliba, Jaan Lutter, Mike Lancaster and others who send in their work... especially Laura Manske!)

And here are some of the fun videos which people have been passing around.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
