Welcome to the website. Sorry about no update yesterday and this morning. I was outta town for a couple of days.
I'm back.
Very emotional, but very good, good 2-day trip.
Ah life.
Y'know? At the last minute before I left, I thought to throw Aubrey (my guitar) in the back seat. It's odd, but it takes me a moment to remember sometimes that writing about Life is what I do. I mean, it's what I'm meant to do. And I knew I'd be spending a night alone in a hotel room somewhere in Maryland. So she went with me and we'll see if there's anything there I'll be able to share with all of you soon. Maybe out in Central Park.
Here's a little photo gallery of our summer so far. It's growing every week thanks to people like Sean Friedman, Mary Saliba, Jaan Lutter, Mike Lancaster and others who send in their work... especially Laura Manske!)

ANYWAY!
Hey! Welcome to everyone checking in here from different parts of the country and different parts of the world. In the last 48 hours that I've been gone, I see that you guys are already passing "Hermione..." around. I hope it's making you guys smile as you do. It was a fun, fun song to write and shooting the video was a blast. Lotsa stories around that one!
In case you're just showing up here for the first time, it's a BRAND NEW song and video.
Seriously! When I get an idea that is this silly, this fun, this ridiculous... it just HAS to be done!
And today... the song is being played on Dominic King's radio show in the UK today. I'm tellin' you, I'm thinkin' it's gonna get around the world like the "Facebook..." song.
Many of you remember when Dominic and I became mates across the sea when, after 9/11, he played my song "Crazy on the Same Day" for his drive-time audience. Then after that we became even better friends after I used my website to allow so many of you to send thoughts of support and compassion back to the UK after the London subway bombings.
Well, it's nice to be in touch with Dominic again for a genuinely ridiculous reason!
Here... this is a link to the BBC and DOMINIC'S SHOW.
You can "listen live" or choose to "listen again".
His show is a "drive time show" that starts at 4:00 in the afternoon in the UK. He said he'll prbably play it after 6, London time. So if you wanna listen LIVE, that's 1 pm here in town.

HERE'S THE SONG AND VIDEO!

Now one more thing about that song!
IT IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD!!!
I'm serious!
Now you can download the song itself, and walk around with it in your ipod or mp3 player and sing it to yourself on the bus, in the subway, in the car... while you're on facebook.
.
If you like this song and video, go ahead and send the link to everyone you know if you think it might make them smile.
ROCK on!!!
And if you wanna leave a comment about the song or have any questions about the video, just go ahead and leave a comment here!

Okay listen --I'm gonna be back tomorrow with another update. I might have something to share about the last 2 days and my trip.
We'll see.
In the meantime just know that, more than ever, I still feel like the luckiest man alive and that's thanks to all of you.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
