Hey! I hope you're havin' an amazing day, wherever in the country or wherever in the world you're reading this.
I'm gonna hafta start out today's update by saying this...
How'd I get so damned lucky? I mean, as an independent artist and as a man who does what he loves for a living... I also get to do in a venue that looks like this!

And this past Saturday...
I headed out to Central Park again like I always do on a warm, sunny weekend to put my guitar on my shoulder and share some music and some laughs with a few thousand friends from New York City, all across the country and around the world.
It was f*ckin' great!
I decided to make it one of those days when I need to say THANKS to all of you who've made me "That Guitar Man..." here in the greatest city in the world. So we reached into the guitar case and turned it into "Hot Dog Day" again for a few hundred people. Laura Manske was all over it, taking photographs and shooting video so i'll be posting a bunch of her work here all week. Sean Friedman, Frankie Dindo and Jaan Lutter also sent in photos.
BUT THE COOLEST THING WAS... not only was singer Kathi Gillmore in from L.A. for the weekend... she jumped in to sing "I Can't Wait" with me.
And it was the first weekend that the amazing female vocalist who shared the stage with me at both Merkin Concert Hall and The Leonard Nimoy Thalia in the past couple of years, TERESA REYNOLDS, came out to "The Hill" to sing with me.
We had a blast and I'm convinced that Teresa is gonna make it out to the park to sing for the rest of the season!!!!
Did we have us a time, or what!?
Teresa Reynolds is gonna be a part of the park gig all this year!
And every time Kathi is back in town, she's gotta show up, too!

In fact, y'know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna start posting photos here today of what went on this past Saturday. Later in the week I'll start posting some video. So check back every day. If you were out there with me, chances are you're smiling face is gonna show up here at the site this week.
Here this is just a sample of what went on out there.

It's nothin' but joy sharing an afternoon of genuine moments with open-hearted, generous artists... and people who really "get it".

I guess the wild news for this week is that the "Facebook... Idiot" song is rocketing around the world. Tens of thousands... no... over a hundred thousand people all around the planet are passing it around. (Must struck a chord inside a few people.)
If you haven't seen it yet...

Okay, for anyone who's new around here... go back through the Archive and catch up a little. And here are a few videos to make you smile.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
