If you were with me down on Pier 45 last night in Hudson River Park to kick off this season of the "Sunset on the Hudson Concert Series"...
THANKS!!!
Even though it got a little bit chilly after the Sun set, it was a beautiful June night. I an another amazing time singin' with all you guys and gave me a warm feeling seeing all your smiling faces down there by the river. You actually got to catch a great sunset as well.
This photo was sent to the website from Mary Saliba.
It's also very cool to be playing my songs within earshot of Lady Liberty.
I love this town.

NOW!
Some things are incredibly wonderful. Some things suck. That's just life.
If you're checking in here to see if I'm heading to "The Hill" in Central Park.... it just doesn't look like it.
Sorry.
The people in the Permit Office of The Parks Department withheld the Special Event Permit again this weekend. (I know.... it flies in the face of the agreement I made with Park Administrator Doug Blonsky in 2000. (Who's a good man, by the way.) But when you're an independent artist, you learn to just go with Life.... it's kinda like surfing. You go where the wave takes you. Even the rough rides. They turn into a real rush.... IF you go with it. Otherwise... wipeout.)
What I often like to say to myself is this... (And it might have NO meaning for you. But, it makes a lot of sense to me.)
"Ya can't cheat the mountain, Pilgrim. The mountain's got it's ways."
So keep your fingers crossed for next week and I hope I see you then.
.
Okay... HEY!!!! I know a lot of you are checking in from different parts of the country and different parts of the world. But if you're here in NYC next weekend, I hope I see you out in Central Park on Saturday.
And no matter where you are, I hope your still sharing this brand new song and video with all your friends. I'm havin' a lot of fun with this little song. If you wanna watch the video of it's debut in front of a LIVE audience, check out this video and pass it on!

So, how do YOU feel about facebook?
Click on the banner that falls into your bag... your feelings about facebook. Leave a little comment or a little story if you want... about your ex, about a childhood friend, about a moron, about a stalker, about a lost love that you found, about the most ridiculous thing you've ever seen posted. About whatever you want.
There will be a window that reads, "Respond to this video"
Go ahead!

And here are a few more.
Have fun.

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
