There are a bunch of photos from this past Saturday afternoon in this update at this link. (Maybe your pic is on the site!)
Y'know? Sometimes I wonder exactly what it is that brings so many thousands of people out to "The Hill" in Central Park week after week and year after year.
Sure, hangin' out with the music is cool. Writing new songs for you guys and runnin' them passed you is always cool. Diggin' up great music from years gone by is always cool. I get a kick out of putting my own spin on the work of contemporary artist who I admire.
But there's something else.
.
To use a throw back expression from the 1960s, what goes on out there every weekend in the middle of the greatest city on the planet is, what used to be called... "A Happening".
In other words, you never know what's gonna happen out there. I'm completely comfortable and at home just makin' it up as I go along -- and so is this city and so is this Universe. So when it all comes together in those little magic moments, that's where the laughter lives. That's where the sincere tears are found. That's where those little nuggets of thought and Wisdom hide. And that's here you come upon a rockin' dude like...
WINSTON!

How cool is that!?
You gotta check back tomorrow and join the "Winston Fan Page".
Seriously. I'm talkin' the "The Evil Genius" (James Marino) about setting up a fan page for the man who invented the new dance craze... "The Winston". So check back tomorrow, okay?
Here are a whole bunch of photos sent in to the website from Richard Kline and Laura Manske from this past Saturday. Smiling faces in the crowd, just hangin' out, diggin' on the music, makin' the day up as we went along.

. . . . . . . . . . .

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
