If you were hangin' out with me at either venue this weekend, all I can say once again is...
THANKS!
I know a lot of you check in here from different parts of this country and different parts of the world... all because you probably hung out with me and my guitar at one place or another. But here in New York City where I'm known as "That Guitar Man"....
Damn! What a weekend!
Book mark this page and stop back all week, okay?
I'm gonna post some video from this past weekend and a whole bunch of photos sent in to the website from Laura Manske and others.
Here's the first batch!
I love it when I get to share photos of you... "The People on the Hill". Y'know what I love most about it? It's the fact that every week I see faces of people who are smiling, or laughing, or thinking, or relaxing, or even shedding a good, good tear over a particular song. It's the fact that every week I see thousands of shining faces, and none of them have a shadow of anger on them.
I'm a lucky man.

And...
Besides all these beautiful people who hung out all day, we were also joined by music legend Sid Bernstein (The man who brought The Beatles to America) and the lead guitarist from The Rascals, Gene Cornish. (Who jumped up and did the classic song "Good Lovin'" with me and rocked "The Hill".) Maybe we'll have some video tomorrow!
Gotta tell you...
As much as I love writing songs, I get an even bigger charge from watching you guys smile and hearing you singin' the words to many of my original songs. What a blast!
Okay listen, I'm gonna be back tomorrow. I hope I have a least one video completed by tomorrow.
AND THIS COMING WEEKEND!!!!!
If you're not leaving town for the holiday weekend, plan on grabbing a few friends and hangin' out with me on Saturday afternoon. I'm gonna have a couple of very special things goin' on out there that day!
.
As always... if you're new around here, I hope you hit the Archive and take a look around.

Hope you check back for a new update every day!

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
