I know a lot of you are checking in here from different parts of the country and different parts of the world. But here in NYC, we had us a really sweet time on Pier 45 at the opening night of the "Sunset on the Hudson" concerts series down in The Village on Friday night. If you were there with me... thanks again!
Now, it's true that this weekend I was really looking forward to heading out to "The Hill" with my guitar to hang with all of you and kinda celebrate and mark the anniversary of the very first weekend I became "That Guitar Man..." 19 years ago.
So, I didn't get to share that feeling with you yesterday.
.
BUT!
TOMORROW
...tomorrow actually marks the day I went out there for the very first time. (June 14, 1992) And as the Goodness in the Universe would have it, I was serendipitously asked to do a little radio thing with a woman who's voice was married for years to radio airplay of artists like James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, The Eagles and Simon & Garfunkel at the radio station called Lite FM.
Valerie Smaldone
Valerie at work
Now she's over at WOR Radio and I'll be here guest tomorrow LIVE between 11:00 am and noon.
So if you're not doing anything -- or if you're at work and the boss isn't looking, pop in your earbuds and listen... either on the radio, or you can click on this banner and listen online:
Tomorrow at 11:00
And you'll be able to call in no matter where in the country you are!

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
