Got a couple of fun things here on the site today. ONE OF THEM is kind of a little contest. Well, maybe not a contest... not really. I was just amazed at some of the responses I've gotten from that update I left you guys with when I headed to Texas for that weekend gig. I'll get into that in a minute. But first...
Hey listen, weather-permitting we're gonna kick off another season of the "Sunset on the Hudson" concert series in Hudson River Park.
This Friday night, the music starts at 7:00 on Pier 45 in The Village, all the way at the end of Christopher Street.
.
.
Then on Saturday... well... on Saturday... I still have a phone call to make to see if we're gonna be cool for Saturday in Central Park. I hope so. But as usual, that gig is also "weather-permitting". (Hell, it's the outdoor season after all!)

In a strange way this has something to do with my new song "Facebook is a Stupid Idiot"
Remember just before I left to do that one-song gig in Texas last weekend I told ou guys that I took Pop up to Yankee Stadium to watch a little baseball? It was a great day. Really. But, then during the middle innings he turned to me and asked me a question for which I said I just didn't have an answer.
Well I posted a little video clip of him asking the question. He kind of whispered it, so I assumed people would just read his lips. But people have been emailing me and friends I've spoken to in person have said the wildest things.
One guy emailed the website and said, "It looks like your Dad was asking 'what the fuck is Tom Hanks!?"
Another friend of mine said she thought he was saying, "Let's go Yankees!"
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
