Welcome to the website. Got some news about a little gig I'm doing tomorrow with George Wurzbach by The Bandshell in Central Park. It's tomorrow at 1:00. It's not a big event.... just a uniquely New York thing to do. (Details further down the page.)
And listen... There's no"SUNSET on the HUDSON" concert this Friday night. But I will be in Central Park on Saturday and it's gonna be an amazing day. I can feel it already.
These days there are thousands and thousands of people checking in here from different parts of this country and different parts of the world. I wish ALL the flags would come down and we could all be just one big ol' earth. But that's probably a few generations away.
So in the meantime, welcome to a little slice of New York City.

Okay sure, I massacred the song. But we had a lot of fun with this little musical train wreck.
I guess the wild news for today is that the "Facebook... Idiot" song is rocketing around the world. Tens of thousands of people all around the planet are passing it around. (Must struck a chord inside a few people.)

If you're not doing anything at 1:00 in the afternoon, head over to The Bandshell near the 72nd Street transverse in Central Park. George and I are gonna do a few songs for the Sing for Hope project here in town. We'll most definitely be posting video of it here at the website if you can't make it. But if you're in town and you're not doing anything, we'd love the company.
As much as I love writing songs, I get an even bigger charge from watching you guys smile and hearing you singin' the words to many of my original songs. What a blast!

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com .
