(But then I guess everywhere I am is exactly where I belong at any given moment in my Life.)
Okay, let me rephrase that.
I'M REALLY HAPPY TO BE BACK IN NEW YORK CITY!!!!
Got some cool things comin' up.
But I don't know yet if I'm gonna be able to hang with you guys in Central Park this coming Saturday. I'll hafta send a few emails or make a phone call and let you know later this week, okay?
I'm a little bit beat from all the traveling yesterday. Just got back to town after doing a one-song-gig in Kerrville, Texas. Got to meet with and work with some really extraordinary people... genuinely nice, Good people and some wonderful artists. Hopefully, I'll post some video and some photos... maybe even some audio tracks from the gig this week or next.I wanna tell you all about hangin' with Noel Stookey ("Paul" from Peter, Paul and Mary) and his daughter Liz... 2 remarkable people who are passionate about making a difference for the better in this world through music. (Right up my alley!) They've got something goin' on called the Public Domain Foundation.

Very cool.
At the festival I didn't really do the "campfire hang" with a lot of the other artists, 'cause I'm still a little socially awkward and just a little bit shy in some situations. (Nobody would guess that by what I do for a living!) Maybe next time.
But, the gig was wonderful. In the meantime, I'm just kinda re-grouping today and catching up a little.
AND... this week I really hope I can give all of you some good news about Saturday!
Tonight... Folk-legend and good friend Christine Lavin is gonna be signing her new book at the Lincoln Center Barnes & Noble at 7:30. She is a funny, funny woman and I'm absolutely sure that this thing will be a blast.
I'm gonna try to be at that one! Maybe I'll see you there!
Here's photo from a recent article that Chris sent me.
If you're new around here you might wanna browse the ARCHIVE a little. And here's a little photo gallery from last summer in Central Park.
I made a video last week when that Spiritually bankrupt, intellectually challenged phony from Alaska -- Sarah Palin of "Drill, Baby, Drill" fame... had the nerve to open her silly mouth and make a comment about the ongoing disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. It's still here, further down the page.
And you can still check out my exclusive story about the "Solar Disaster", the great sunlight spill of 2010, by clicking on this link.
BUT!
Since so many people have been watching the video of my new "facebook song", I thought I'd post an educational video about proper "facebook etiquette".

And...
HERE'S THE SONG!

Okay, and as promised...
Here's the video about Ms. Palin. You can shoot me an email or leave a comment on the YouTube page to let the world know how you feel about it all, too.

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
