Here we are. Right in the middle of a 3-day holiday weekend.
What're you guys doin'?
Wherever you are, whatever you're doin I hope your really havin' a good time. We had us a pretty damned good time yesterday in Central Park. I took my guitar out there like I always do.
Here are just a few shots from yesterday.

But the day before I kinda got to thinkin' and it hit me... last year on Memorial Day, I continued a little tradition I started a few years back for the people who stay in town for this weekend. I figure there are always a bunch of people in the park who didn't get to go to a backyard barbecue or anything like that. So once or twice a year I like to scoop up a bunch of money in the guitar case...
...and kind of say "Thank You".
I asked a couple of women who've been hangin' out at "The Hill" for a whole now (Miss Allie the Writer and Rhea the Hippie) if they would make a "hot-dog" run over to Gray's Papaya on Amsterdam Ave.
Then about 200 hot dogs later, everybody was smilin' again.
It's just sooooooo worth it to me to be a part of something that cool!!!
ANOTHER "HOT DAY DAY"
.
OH HEY!!!
I did a new version of a new song!!! I kinda figured that the new "facebook" song was only gonna work in Central Park if I revised it from the original way it was done when it made it's debut at The Thalia Theater last month and then made it's way to YouTube.
Here's the original video.

BTW -- you can still check out my exclusive story about the "Solar Disaster", the great sunlight spill of 2010, by clicking on this link. And I made a video last week when that Spiritually bankrupt, intellectually challenged phony from Alaska -- Sarah Palin of "Drill, Baby, Drill" fame... had the nerve to open her silly mouth and make a comment about the ongoing disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. You can see that by clicking here.
.
But listen...
I'm gonna be back later or tomorrow with some photos and maybe some video from yesterday.
Seriously... an AMAZING, amazing day.
THANKS!
In the meantime, if you're new around here are the links for 2 galleries.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
