This is gonna be a fun update today. And if you're looking for the a particular song that a lot of people are passing around the internet...
Holy smokes...
WE'VE GOT THE NEW FACEBOOK SONG HERE TODAY!!!!
Yeah, you can watch the video a little further down the page! Send it to your mom!
But first....
Were you out there in Central Park with me for the first day of the 2010 "outdoor" season?
It was kind of a weird and wonderful day for me personally.

I mean, it's always amazing for me to begin another year as "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I've been writing songs and singing them for people out there for an entire generation. And yesterday, there were people from all around the planet -- from teenagers to people in there 70s, all diggin' the music and jammin' to the same songs. So many sweet people I met from London and Korea and South Dakota and Mexico and so, so many other places. I'll get into it more and more all this week.
But man! After the rain cleared out.... it was f*cking windy!!!!
.
I mean ridiculous. Equipment blowing over. Small wind squalls blowing American currency across the Lake. Shoes in the guitar case. Still we started off the year typically with an amazing day filled with completely unexpected, uniquely New York occurrences like the "yellow alien" in the rowboat and the delegation from Korea singing John Lennon's "Imagine" with me.
Check back all this week for some great photos which are being sent into the website from Laura Manske and Sean Friedman and Frank Koehntopp.
Okay now... for everyone who's checking in here from different parts of the country and different parts of the world. Video, video, video...
Besides the brand new song about facebook... people have been asking me to re-post some video from last summer and the "Year-End Concert" in Merkin concert Hall this past December.
Watch it until the very end and then leave a comment if you want, okay?

Okay now...
Click on the banner that falls into your bag... your feelings about facebook. Leave a little comment or a little story if you want... about your ex, about a childhood friend, about a moron, about a stalker, about a lost love that you found, about the most ridiculous thing you've ever seen posted. About whatever you want.
There will be a window that reads, "Respond to this video"
I'll be back tomorrow with another update. And lots of photos and video all week. BOOKMARK this page for yourself and be sure to pass the song "FACEBOOK IS A STUPID IDIOT" to everyone you know. Give them a smile today.
.
Thanks for everything.

PEACE

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
