Welcome to the website.

.

Got some news about the start of the new season in Central Park and the "Sunset Concert Series" down in the Village. (Further down the page.)

BUT FIRST, the emails are starting to come in from across the country and different parts of the world. Seems people everywhere kind of relate to the new song and the new video.

If you check it out and it give a you a smile, pass it on to someone you know who might need a laugh.

You can watch it here... and then pick either one of one of those links below it to click if you wanna leave a comment.

HERE IT IS! THE NEW SONG!

.

Watch the entire video all the way to the very end... and enjoy the song. We had a really good time at the concert last Friday.

Okay now...

Click on the banner that falls into your bag... your feelings about facebook. Leave a little comment or a little story if you want... about your ex, about a childhood friend, about a moron, about a stalker, about a lost love that you found, about the most ridiculous thing you've ever seen posted. About whatever you want.

There will be a window that reads, "Respond to this video"

Go ahead!

Okay, about this season in Central Park!

First things first. Yes, I'm slated to begin the new season on Saturday. We have the Special Event Permit and and the permit from the NYPD... but.... there are still seasonal fences up around "The Hill". I have a couple of emails out to the Parks Department, but you'll hafta check back to see if we're gonna be able to head out there this weekend.

Sorry for the uncertainty.

And listen... I'm gonna keep you posted about this next thing. It now looks like it's a "GO". I was a little bit confused about the "Sunset on the Hudson" concert series on Pier 45 this year. Originally I think it was supposed to kick off the first week of June. But for the first time there was a whole legal thing this year about "event insurance" and stuff. So, assuming I wasn't going to be able to do it, I said "yes" when I was asked to do a song of mine at the Kerrville Music Festival in Texas the first weekend in June.Turns out, another group of artists covered my song "Resolution". This is their own version.... but, I think these guys ROCK!

.

.

Keep your fingers crossed for good weather and another beautiful opening day. I know it's Mother's Day Weekend. But, I'm gonna be in the park on Saturday, not Sunday. (Hell... bring your Mom.)

Before I leave you today...

If you're bored today or tonight... or if you're at work and the boss isn't looking... or if you just feel like hangin' out with a few hours of music today, go pour yourself a tall glass of iced tea or iced coffee and sit back and watch the concert from last Friday night!

It runs a few hours.

I'll be back tomorrow with another update.

See you soon.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
