Okay... welcome to the update for Wednesday.

Good update today. Got the facebook song. Got some Yankees stuff.

But before we get to the fun today... I hafta say.

What's the immediate answer to our dependency on fossil fuel? I don't know. As long as we're driving, we'll use oil.

But, I've never heard of a "wind-spill" or a "solar-spill".

What's happening to a large and beautiful part of our planet is a f*cking nightmare. And people in our government and people in the "news" are being wwwaaaayyyyy too quiet about it.

Once again we are being lied to on a regular basis. I'm sure no reasonable person thinks that we are getting accurate estimates of the oil that has been spilling into the pristine waters of the gulf, and has continued to gush into the ocean waters every minute since last April 20th... a month ago... all day, all night, while you were sleeping last night, as I am writing this, as you are reading this. If you believe the estimate of the destruction and the nightmare that, so far, has no way of ending -- then you are simply out of your mind.

The destruction of the Gulf of Mexico by BP, Transocean Ltd. and Dick Cheney's puppy Halliburton is an unconscionable disgrace... and the reaction to it and coverage by the so-called "news-media" in this country is almost equally as disgraceful.

Please don't listen to self-serving frauds like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. These poor men are lightweights in every way. I have a strong feeling that this disaster, with no end in sight right now, will affect this planet for generations.

Take a moment to click on photos for a clearer picture.
. . .

I will much more to say about all of this over this coming summer.

.

.

Oh, by the way... while you were reading this, hundreds and hundreds of gallons of crude oil have been pouring into the salt water of the Gulf of Mexico... and still are.

.

.

Okay... I promise we WILL have fun this summer, too. We will do what we can. But this summer in Central Park is a time for music and laughter, too.

Which, by the way, will kind of get off to an official start this coming weekend, weather-permitting.

Gonna do some singin' in Central Park again!

Oh, and...

My new song about facebook is still makin' it's way around the internet. Kinda cool.

And I guess things are as they should be in most parts of the Universe. The greatest rivalry in sports continued last night with the New York Yankees losing a tough one this time to the visiting Boston Red Sox. And after the walk-off win the night before, shows you why it's a long season.

Sure it's a long season, but right now the Yankees are up in the season series 5 - 3.

Rock on!

Okay, as usual -- And here are a few more videos.

Have fun.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
