Sorry about the "NO update" again yesterday. I was kinda coming down, catching up, re-grouping and generally easing up after the gig this past Friday night.
If you're stopping in here from another part of the country or another part of the world... welcome.
(Did you catch the concert this past Friday? We streamed it live all around the world, and it's still available to watch a little further down this page.)
Today, the news is simply that... yeah. Weather permitting I'll be back at "The Hill" in Central Park on Saturday. Another season of music and laughs in the middle of the greatest city in the world.
Keep your fingers crossed for good weather and another beautiful opening day. I know it's Mother's Day Weekend. But, I'm gonna be in the park on Saturday, not Sunday. (Hell... bring your Mom.)
This week I guess the other news is this...
I'm working all day today to get the concert video of the newest song I debuted at the concert up here at the site. If you were at the gig, you know what song I'm talking about. It's the one that you all sang on with such passion and that the whole band jumped in on at the end. It's the song about...
.
.
If you're here in New York and your rained-in... or if you're at work and the boss isn;t looking... or if you just feel like hangin' out with a few hours of music today, go pour yourself a tall glass of iced tea or iced coffee and sit back and watch the concert from last Friday night!
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
