Today, I would like to share my appreciation for every single man and woman who has ever worn a uniform in service to this country.
Tomorrow...
Tomorrow I am going to have a few thoughts on the men and women who are in our Armed Services today and are deployed in either Iraq or Afghanistan.
But out of genuine respect for them and out of reverence for the day... I will hold my comments until tomorrow.
HEY! If you're new here because you were hangin' out with me for the very first time this past weekend, I'm really glad you decided to show up. Try to check in every day if you can. There's almost always something goin' on around here.
We had another typically amazing day in Central Park on Saturday.
Seriously. It started kinda slow. But as the day went on, that amazing feeling just began to take over and a few hundred strangers began to smile and laugh and sing together like they were old friends.
Really amazing.
And we also always try to do something fun or interesting here at the website, y'know, for everyone here in NYC as well as all of you who stop by but live in different parts of the country and different parts of the world. So for today...
Y'know how I'm always saying, "It's just us?
TODAY... I wanna introduce to fist installment of a little something I might do an a semi-regular basis. (We'll see what kind of reaction it gets and what kind of feedback I get through the "Contact" button.)
So, here it is.
IS IT JUST ME?
These days, every other commercial on television in America is for some kind of pharmaceutical company. If you're basically on good health and don't have a disease or condition of any kind, some drug company will certainly invent one for you and then try to sell you a drug for it.
I mean... what the hell is RLS (restless leg syndrome) anyway?
But that's not the point.
Lately there has been a commercial running for a medication called Restasis.
Now this drug is supposed to treat something called "chronic dry eye". Okay, I get it. Some people might actually need this shit. BUT... have you seen the doctor in the spot who is supposed to be the expert on this stuff!? This woman who is telling her patient what she needs for her eyes...
IS IT JUST ME?
Or does this woman have the spookiest, most zombie-like eyes on TV today!
IF you were with me in the park this weekend, you heard the little different twists I'm adding to the song, "Facebook is a Stupid Idiot".
Here's the video from the night the song made it's debut at The Thalia on Broadway @ 95th Street here in New York City!
Here's the original video.

BTW -- you can still check out my exclusive story about the "Solar Disaster", the great sunlight spill of 2010, by clicking on this link. And I made a video last week when that Spiritually bankrupt, intellectually challenged phony from Alaska -- Sarah Palin of "Drill, Baby, Drill" fame... had the nerve to open her silly mouth and make a comment about the ongoing disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. You can see that by clicking here.

Listen, I'm gonna be back later or tomorrow. But hope you're havin' a great weekend.
And seriously... Saturday was an AMAZING, amazing day.
THANKS!

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
