Welcome to everyone checking in from New York City, different states across the country and different parts of the world.
Gonna have an interesting week here at the site, starting off with a kind of a cool update today. (Y'know? If you string enough interesting days and weeks together... you get an interesting Life. So, y'know... take 'em one day at a time and find the fascination and wonder.)
I'm gonna start off today's update with something that is back by VERY surprising popular demand...
THE FACE BOOK SONG!
Be sure to pass it onto as many friends today as you can think of!

Okay now...
Click on the banner that falls into your bag... your feelings about facebook. Leave a little comment or a little story if you want... about your ex, about a childhood friend, about a moron, about a stalker, about a lost love that you found, about the most ridiculous thing you've ever seen posted. About whatever you want.
There will be a window that reads, "Respond to this video"
Go ahead!

Before we go any further, gotta say... as a lifelong Yankees fan, I'm really diggin' the start of the baseball season. The Yankees and Rays both look like the "real thing" in the East.
But last night...
The Red Sox showed why it's a long season. (Damn! I love the baseball season!)
SATURDAY was my first day back out in Central Park and it was an interesting day. Started off so, so slow in so many ways. Rain in the morning - fences up around the area we were supposed to be hangin' out according to the Parks Department Permits - a small crowd at "The Away Game". But then the wind began to pick up and so did the crowd, and so did the music, and so did the confluence of energies that make what I do in Central Park such an amazing and uniquely New York thing.
Here's a bunch of photos sent into the website from Saturday.

. . . . . . . . . .
So we're officially into the 2010 season.
BUT... I still don't know what's goin' on with the Parks Department so far this year. Last week was the second week in a row we received Special Events Permits for an area of the park which is still fenced off for the season. (That's why we went to "The Away Game" last Saturday.)
Check back this week and I'll let you know what I find out about this coming weekend and the Saturdays to follow.
I'll be back tomorrow with another update. And lots of photos and video all week. BOOKMARK this page for yourself and be sure to pass the song "FACEBOOK IS A STUPID IDIOT" to everyone you know. Give them a smile today.

Thanks for everything.

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
