Good game for The Yankees up in Fenway Park last night. And after dropping the opening game of the season, they took the series against The Red Sox. (But, both teams look really, really good this year. It's gonna be a great rivalry.... again.)
Gonna start off today's update with a question.
You gonna be at the gig on Friday night, April 30th?
I hafta tell you... I love it when I get to fly some new songs past you guys for the first time. At The Leonard Nimoy Thalia on Broadway, I'm gonna get to run two new songs with the kids in the band, and one new one is gonna be all mine... that new one I've been tellin' you about.
.
But, I'm gonna give "Can't You See" and "The Last Protest Song" to the band. (A little more about the gig further down the page.)
Y'know?
It won't be long until we're all together again in Central Park.
Man! I love my life. I write songs and I sing 'em for people. Who's the luckiest man alive?
But with as much fun as we have around here, you know how I feel about music's place in this world.
And you also know how important I feel it is to "pay attention".
Some of you wonder why I rail against the closed-minded, Spiritually-bankrupt "right wing" of this country. Here's just another example that you won't see if you're not paying attention.
On FOX News a few moths ago, they were giddy... celebrating these two Conservative, lightweight *sshles (phonies) who supposedly went "undercover" to expose workers at an organizations called Acorn who were committing criminal and unconscionable acts.
One of the men FOX shamefully slandered and unmercifully accused of being a criminal is actually a Good man bordering on heroic... and pissants like Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck aren't worthy of being in the same room with the man. (Because neither of them is decent enough or man enough to apologize for their slander.)

This theater is a lot more intimate than Merkin Hall and there isn't a bad seat in the house. It's really gonna feel very, very cool. If you get tix in advance, ALL seats are only $25. If you wait until the day of the show, all seats are $30. So, save yourself five bucks and get them in advance!

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
