Another rainy day in New York City.

Um.... yeah, okay.

But, it's all Good. Got a bit of "inside" work to do today. I had a very disquieting, interesting, fascinating, soul-shaking, eye-opening, emotional, very cool day yesterday. Maybe I'll get into that this week. Maybe it will just wind up in a song.

Let me get you in the mood for summer.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

And...

Since this is a rainy, I thought maybe you might need a smile. This is one of the classic scenes from a seamless film that always makes me smile.

Just wanted to share it with you today.

Y'know, when it's rainin' at this time of the year, when the temperature fluctuates between to 40s and 70s, I like to think about how jazzed the grass and the trees in Central Park are right now. I mean, their just absorbing all this stuff to break loose in just a few weeks.

.

But before all that happens again, we're gonna get together for another night of music and laughs.

You guys who are here in New York!!!

THE CONCERT IS 6 DAYS AWAY!!! WE'RE ALL GETTIN' TOGETHER FOR A NIGHT OF MUSIC AND LAUGHS THIS COMING FRIDAY NIGHT!!!

And for all of you who are checkin' in from different parts of the country and different parts of the world.... the gig is gonna be streamed LIVE on the internet! AND... you will be able to email the theater to make requests. It's gonna be the first truly globally interactive concert I've ever done. Gonna be cool.

If you're in New York City, get tickets soon and then tell your friends and family in other places to check in and share the night with you... wherever they are!

Man! I love this life I'm livin'!

.

Y'know how excited I get when a new song is coming in for a landing?

Well, at this concert I'm gonna be able to run at least 3 brand new songs past you guys. Hopefully, one of them is really gonna make you smile like the first time you ever heard "Tom Cruise Scares Me".

Um... oh yeah. Before I go any further, I hafta re-post this video by popular demand. (You people are just sick and wrong.)

Please take a few minutes and enjoy this video message.
(But don't cheat yourself. Listen to the whole thing.)

And give it a few seconds to load, okay?

.

Okay Now

This week, this whole month leading up to the concert at The Thalia I'll fill you in on the ticket availability.

I really love making music and working with the people I get to work with. From James Marino who built this website, to Laura Manske who's been handling.... um... like everything. To Kara from G.I.G. who's been backing me up to get these concerts on their feet for you guys.

But, y'know? I especially love when it comes time to get a bunch of artists in a room to kick around some NEW stuff. Got a few new songs we're gonna fly past you guys on April 30th. That's always, always a good feeling. Of course we'll do a whole lotta the songs you all love to sing along with, like you do in Central Park.

I'll do a bunch of solo acoustic stuff. But, then I get to share a stage again with George Wurzbach, Teresa Reynolds, Nelson Montana, Ryan Cavan and Chris Tedesco. Now, I know there are so many of you who live in different parts f the country and different parts of the world. I'll let you know if we're gonna stream this concert LIVE so that you can be a part of it, too! (One of these days soon, we'll be doing interactive shows in which you'll be able to request songs from wherever in the world you are!!! Who knows? Maybe James, the Evil Genius, will be able to figure that out for this gig!)

Either way... THIS is gonna be fun.

The concert is Friday night, April 30th at 7:30 and it's gonna be a blast!!!!!!

At...

The Leonard Nimoy Thalia
On Broadway @ 95th Street
.

You can get them online right now by clicking on this banner:

Call a few friends and start making plans to get tickets sooner than later. (This theater is a lot more intimate than Merkin Concert Hall. Less than 200 seats.)

This is gonna be fun!

.

. . .
Playin' with George Wurzbach, Teresa Reynolds, Ryan Cavan, Nelson Montana...
fiddle player Chris Tedesco will be joining us again on April 30th

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
