I hope you guys all had a great weekend. Last night... LET THE GAMES BEGIN! Baseball season is under way and the Yankees dropped the first one to the Red Sox for the first match-up of the season. (Gotta remember, it's a long season and the Yankees started out last year 0-8 against Boston in the first half of last year's Championship Season.) Now, CC Sabathia is a big boy. But, he looked really, really outta shape last night even for him. (Maybe too many cupcakes to celebrate the World Series win over the winter.) And he looked sharp for 4 innings then looked like he ran out of gas at about 90 pitches.
So, they'll go again tomorrow night
Man, I love this time of year!
.
And there are TWO really cool things goin' on around here!
Springtime in New York City. Gettin' ready for another season in Central Park.
.
But, here's the coolest thing.
We are just 26 days away from the concert where I'm gonna be joined on stage with a bunch of my favorite music people... at The Thalia on Broadway.
I'm gonna publish a FACEBOOK event about it today or tomorrow. But before I do, you might wanna go ahead and make sure you've got YOUR tickets.
Hey listen... I've got at least 3 new songs I'm gonna do with the artists who will share the stage with me in about 4 weeks. We're gonna have a lot of fun at the gig coming up at the end of this month.
I'll let you know if we're gonna stream this concert LIVE so that you guys who can't get to NYC can be a part of it, too! (One of these days soon, we'll be doing interactive shows in which you'll be able to request songs from wherever in the world you are!!! Who knows? Maybe James, the Evil Genius, will be able to figure that out for this gig!)
Either way... THIS is gonna be fun.
The concert is Friday night, April 30th at 7:30 and it's gonna be a blast!!!!!!
At...
The Leonard Nimoy Thalia On Broadway@ 95th Street
.
You can get them online right now by clicking on this banner:
Or, you can call the box office directly:
(212) 864-5400
.
Call a few friends and start making plans to get tickets sooner than later. (This theater is a lot more intimate than Merkin Concert Hall. Less than 200 seats.)
This is gonna be fun!
.
. . . Teresa Reynolds, George Wurzbach, Nelson Montana, Ryan Cavan, Chris Tedesco
Seriously... don't get sold outta this one!
Here's a little clip from the concert in December. (Click on the image)

If you're new around here you might wanna start with this little gallery of photos from last summer which were shot my Laura Manske and others that lots of people have sent in to the website.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
