Welcome to all of you checking in here from different parts of the country and different parts o the world. It's springtime in New York.
I wanna thank every single one of you who sent me emails in response to yesterday's update and that ridiculous phone call that came through the site. Thanks to Eric all the way from Portland, and Bob in Maryland and Mary here in NYC and everyone else who wrote in.
(Believe me, I don't sweat that stuff. It actually kind of amuses me now. And it just means I'm doing my job.... to write songs that "comfort the disturbed.... and disturb the comfortable.")
Okay... the Sun is peaking back out again here in The Big Apple. But it won't be long until we're back in Central Park doin' what we do.
.
Before that, though, you guys also know we have another concert coming up in a little less than 2 weeks, right?
And you know we always have an amazing time at these things. We laugh nearly as much as we sing most nights.
One reason for that.... is a man named George Wurzbach.
Yeah, he's the guy who sang "I'm God" at the last gig in Merkin Concert Hall. He's also the man who wrote "We're Martians" and "When Your Father Looks Like Moe".
I just thought I'd share one of his more twisted songs.... something he did at Merkin Hall a few years ago.

I have NO idea what he's gonna do on April 30th.
But this is gonna be a fun gig.
This time we're gonna get together in a really great little theater on Broadway @ 95th Street called The Leonard Nimoy Thalia for another night of music and laughs.
As of today, there are only about 80 tickets left!!!
Don't get sold outta this one.
Hey! Any time I get to share a stage with the artists who are gonna be there at this gig, it's always a good, good time!
Grab a few friends and get tickets.
Friday, April 30th -- 7:30
THE LEONARD NIMOY THALIA
Broadway @ 95th Street
This is gonna be a fun, fun gig! I'm gonna be joined on stage by a lot of the same people we had so much fun with at "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert".
George Wurzbach, Ryan Cavan, Nelson Montana and the beautiful and talented Teresa Reynolds.
WERE YOU AT THE CONCERT THIS PAST DECEMBER!? DIDJA HAVE A GREAT TIME!?
Me, too.
But this time, ordering tickets is a little bit different!
This theater is a lot more intimate than Merkin Hall and there isn't a bad seat in the house. It's really gonna feel very, very cool. If you get tix in advance, ALL seats are only $25. If you wait until the day of the show, all seats are $30. So, save yourself five bucks and get them in advance!
.
You can get them online right now by clicking on this banner:
Or, you can call the box office directly:

Wanna have a few smiles today for absolutely no reason at all?
Let me share a few moments with you from "The Something'th Annual Year-End Concert". This past December, I got to share a stage again with some of the most talented, generous, sweetest, open-hearted, genuinely coolest artists on the planet.... people I am also lucky enough to call "friends".

If you're new around here you might wanna start with this little gallery of photos from last summer which were shot my Laura Manske and others that lots of people have sent in to the website.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
