As always, I heard from a bunch of people here in New York City. But, I also heard from many people who live in different parts of the country and even different parts of the world. It's really kind of amazing. Makes me a very lucky man.
Ha! All because we all share music and laughs together in one of the coolest places on the planet... Central Park.
Won't be long before we're all doin' it again.
BUT!!!!
Before we head out there, we're gonna kick off the Spring season together for one more indoor concert with many of the same artist who shared the stage with me in Merkin Concert Hall this past December.
On FRIDAY NIGHT -- APRIL 30th
I'm gonna share the stage at The Leonard Nimoy Thalia on Broadway at 95th Street, for a night of music, laughs and story-telling we're calling...
"That Guitar Man from Central Park: 19 Years Old"
(No... not me. I don't even remember being 19. But, my life as "That Guitar Man from Central Park" was born 19 years ago.)
You're not gonna wanna miss this one. I can already feel that it's gonna be another special night. I love the feeling that happens in these great venues when we all get together. And I absolutely love the feeling of making music with the open-hearted, generous and amazingly gifted artists who fly with me.
George Wurzbach, Teresa Reynolds, Ryan Cavan and Nelson Montana.
We might have a couple of other guest artists as well. We'll see. As usual, I'm makin' this up as I go along.
So here... grab tickets today... or sooner than later. 'Cause this time, ordering tickets is a little bit different!
This theater is a lot more intimate than Merkin Concert Hall which seats around 500. (The Thalia only seats 154) So, there isn't a bad seat in the house. It's really gonna feel intimate and very, very cool. If you don't wanna get sold out of this gig, you should probably start thinking about calling a few friends and getting tickets in advance. For 2 reasons -- this theater is a lot smaller than Merkin Concert Hall, and... if you get them in advance, ALL seats are only $25. If you wait until the day of the show, all seats are $30.
So, save yourself five bucks and get them in advance!
You can get them online right now by clicking on this banner:
Or, you can call the box office directly:

Hey listen...
All of you who've been coming around here, whether in met you in Central Park, or if you've been to any one of the sold-out shows in Merkin Concert Hall, or if I met you at the Sunset Concert Series downtown, or if I met you in the Turks & Caicos Islands or in Germany or anywhere else I've played...
You all now how much I love doing what I do with my Life. I'm the kind of man who, even when I'm in a room by myself... I like the company.
It's wonderful feeling to know who you are and what you're meant to be doing in this world.
If you're new around here, you might wanna start wit this little gallery of photos from last summer which were shot my Laura Manske and others that lots of people have sent in to the website.
Wanna have a few smiles today for absolutely no reason at all?
Let me share a few moments with you from "The Something'th Annual Year-End Concert". This past December, I got to share a stage again with some of the most talented, generous, sweetest, open-hearted, genuinely coolest artists on the planet.... people I am also lucky enough to call "friends".

Do me a favor.
You know somebody who might be suffering from a little Spring fever? If you had a laugh or even a smile watching this video, wouldja pass it on to a friend or two?
As always... you guys know that most of the time, I'm in a state of constant amazement, wonder and gratitude. I write songs and I sing them for people. Sometimes to make a point.
In my own faltering and completely imperfect way I get to write songs about whatever is on my mind and in my heart. I try to write songs to let the next guy know he's not alone, to touch someone's heart, to make somebody think or to help someone laugh...
We like to laugh around here... A LOT!!!
Thank you all for the phenomenal time we had at Merkin Concert Hall this past December. Here's a little tiny clip from the "This Year's Question" section:
There's a lot more of this video. What a great time we had at that gig! I'll post some more laughs and some songs soon.
Love you all.
(no kiddin'.)

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
