Human beings are capable of such cruelty and willful ignorance. BUT, we're also capable of things like...

THAT was a lot of rain this weekend!
Seriously... came down sideways all day Saturday. I've got a good friend who lives on something like the 11th floor of an apartment building and her bedroom FLOODED!
Insane.
BUT... new week. And the Sun is shining. There's work to be done. Songs to be written. Music to make.
Hey, I know a whole bunch of the people who stop by here every day are checking in from different parts of the country and different parts of the world. I need to ALWAYS thank all of you for showing up. I'm a very lucky man.
There's so much to do, so much to say. I'm working on a musical project called "DECADE" and I'm really excited about it. Hopefully it will be a musical event that will chronicle the first decade of this century and really appeal to good people of Reason.
Very much the sane way the main hook and message of the song "Resolution" was...
"We can be better than that!"
Sure, the video seems like it was spawned from anger.... but, it's more about "purpose". It's more about the message in the hook -- we can be better.

But, before we get back out to the park...
...we're gonna get together with THE BAND again!!!!!!
Are you guys up for another night of music and laughs like we had at Merkin Concert Hall last December!
Listen, this week the minute the tickets go on sale for the Spring kick-off concert I will announce it here at the site. I'm calling this gig...
THAT GUITAR MAN FROM CENTRAL PARK -- "19 YEARS OLD"
.
No! David Ippolito is not 19 years old. (Thank God!) But, this is the 19th year there has been a thing called "That Guitar Man" by the lake in Central Park. It's very cool for me. I love the fact that I've been lucky enough to make music for an entire generation in this great town.
Anyway, I'm gonna kinda celebrate that fact and kick off the new season with a bunch of friends and colleagues on stage with me at The Leonard Nimoy Thalia on Broadway.
George, Teresa, Ryan and Nelson have all said they're up for the next gig!
Y'know what?
I have a lot of fun letting people who are new around here check out these songs and videos without hun ting for them on YouTube. There are soooooo many music videos on YouTube.
Here are a few from the concert last December. Click on the images to watch

If you're new around here you might wanna start with this little gallery of photos from last summer which were shot my Laura Manske and others that lots of people have sent in to the website.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
