Gotta start off today by saying...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY POP!

.

.

A lot of you people out there, even a bunch of you in different parts of the country and different parts of the world, have met Joe Ippolito when he's shown up a few times in Central Park. If you guys wanna say Happy Birthday, you can just click on this link and I'll pass it on.

Okay!

So, what's goin' on this week!

Oh... congratulations America. You took one tiny step closer to joining most of the civilized nations in this world who try, however falteringly, to take care of ALL of their sick and injured. (Now, if we could just do something about that pesky death penalty thing, and get off that disgraceful list of nations that still punish people by putting them to death. We've still got work to do and songs to write.)

.

On a much, much, much lighter note....

WE'RE GETTIN' READY FOR THE NEXT "INDOOR" CONCERT AND I'M GONNA BE SHARING THE STAGE WITH MOST OF THE ARTISTS WE HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME WITH AT THE DECEMBER GIG!

But... this venue is a lot smaller than Merkin Concert Hall, so you might wanna start thinking about getting tickets sooner than later. (They're also $5 more if you wait until the day of the show!)

So get them now!

FRIDAY NIGHT -- APRIL 30th

Since the concert is on a FRIDAY night, I have a feeling this one is gonna sell-out in advance. So start thinking about it or just go ahead and make sure you've got yours.

The Spring-Kickoff Concert

The Leonard Nimoy Thalia

I'm gonna be with most of the kids in the band like I was at the "Year End" gig last December.

If you were there, you KNOW what a blast we had. If you missed it.... don't miss this one!

You can get them online right now by clicking on this banner:

Or, you can call the box office directly:

This is gonna be fun!

.

.

After that, it'll be another season in Central Park and down in The Village on Pier 45! We'll be out there again in no time... I hope. (Still haven't heard anything from the Permit Office at the Parks Department about Central Park, though.)

Oh hey... again. There are ALWAYS new people showing up around here. It's tough to describe what we do every year in Central Park, right in the backyard of the most amazing city on the planet. So once again, here's a little photo gallery from last summer.

And here are a couple of songs to download for FREE. (They're from the latest album.)

There's a lot more of this video. What a great time we had at that gig! I'll post some more laughs and some songs soon.

Love you all.

(no kiddin'.)

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
