MAN! I gotta tell you... a few weeks ago I was writing here about Creative droughts. I was commenting that they feel the same for me as for a lot of fellow artists with whom I've spoken. Droughts are long, they are a little disconcerting and they feel like they'll never end. (But, they always do.)
THEN... sometimes the floodgates just open and it's like a Creative monsoon. That's why there was no update here yesterday. I apologize. But, I was in the headphones a good part of the day.
This has been a pretty fascinating week. Woke up yesterday morning with a new song for the brand new musical project we kicked around last Thursday night in The Thalia, and I wound up working on it pretty much all day and night, writing the lyric and then recording a rough demo. It's called "Can't You See" and I'm really jazzed over the way it's evolving into something special.
Also, I know there are lots and lots of you checking in here at the website from different parts of the country and different parts of the world.but here in NYC, the weather has begun to feel like we could be sing' in Central Park this week. Just great!!!
And NEXT...
Okay, ONE MORE TIME!!!!
I hafta ask about a date. (No, no not "a date"... although that would be kinda nice, too.)
No, I mean a date for the next indoor concert to kick off the Spring season and hopefully a return to Central Park for another year of music and laughs.
Friday Night, April 30th
If I put together another night with the band, is that good for you guys who will be here in town?
HIT THIS LINKif you think that would be a good night for you and a bunch of your friends to do the same kinda thing we did in Merkin Concert Hall last December.
I mean, seriously... if it's good for enough of you guys, I'll put the word out to the band.

Damn!
I write songs and I sing them for people. I love my life and I love the people I get to work with on a regular basis.
VERY COOL.
Here are some video clips from the last gig with all the kids!

If you're new around here you might wanna start with this little gallery of photos from last summer which were shot my Laura Manske and others that lots of people have sent in to the website.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
