Got a long update. Got quite a few things to run by you guys today.
First thing... we're gettin' really close to another great season out on Central Park and down on Pier 45 in The Village.
Seriously... we'll probably be out there in a month or so. Probably gonna crank it up in May this year. We're gonna have blast like we did last year!

When you hear some Right-wing, Conservative, shallow-minded boob spouting how President Obama and all Progressives are Socialists and Communists who are destroying Democracy -- consider this...
As ugly as it was, and as infuriating as it can be... what we just witnessed in the yearlong run-up to the signing of ANY kind of health care reform...
is a democratic republic is supposed to work.
An election was won. The people chose representatives. A bill was signed. A law is being passed.
I'm not completely happy with the bill. I think we should have a national Health Insurance Plan. I know with every fiber in my being that among evolved, civilized people health care is a right and not a "privilege". (Just read the preamble to the Constitution and let the argument end there as far as I'm concerned.)
But, these tiny people like Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and Sarah Palin and the like who are using veiled threats of violence and hateful, silly... stupid rhetoric over the "destruction of America" are just that... silly and stupid people.
Ha! And you're probably gonna hear about this, or see video of it today!
Joe Biden to the President - "...this is a big fuckin' deal."
Ha! I have one thing to say...

All of you who've been coming around here, whether in met you in Central Park, or if you've been to any one of the sold-out shows in Merkin Concert Hall, or if I met you at the Sunset Concert Series downtown, or if I met you in the Turks & Caicos Islands or in Germany or anywhere else I've played...
You all now how much I love doing what I do with my Life. I'm the kind of man who, even when I'm in a room by myself... I like the company.
It's wonderful feeling to know who you are and what you're meant to be doing in this world.

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com .
