I looked at the stats and realized that an awful lot of you passed the link for yesterday's update around the net to friends. From the bottom of my heart.... Thank You.

BUT!

Since we're going back into the "Archive" I wanted to point out something in relation to the big, shocking news that a vacuous, phony like Sarah Palin is going to work for the FOX network.

Yes. Yesterday we learned this week that... SURPRISE!

Sarah Palin will be a... Ha! A Fox News.... Ha! Ha! Analyst!

In fact, a little thing like a devastating humanitarian crisis in a neighboring country didn't stop FOX from airing her hour-long interviews with O'Reilly, Beck, and Hannity this week.

Now I wanna make something clear. If there was a way to sit down with people like Ms. Palin, or Bill O'Reilly, Hannity or Beck and gentle coax them out of the world in which they live, I would do it. I just wish there was a way. (I'm afraid there might not be for people who are as far gone as them.)

But... many people saw this coming.

I saw this coming LAST YEAR! (Remember?)

I mean, this self-serving woman quit her elected office as governor of Alaska last July 3rd. (That was Friday going into the Independence Day weekend... so that, tactically, she could kind of let the outrage and absurdity of the story lie under the radar of the news cycle for a few days.)

Well, the following day... HERE AT THIS WEBSITE I wrote this.

Now listen....

I've got some really cool things to tell you about - - things I'm gonna try out in Central Park today. But first, I hafta have a little fun with my own foresight.

You guys know I'm very close to wrapping the brand new CD. Well, one of the songs I decided to include was that fan favorite, "Tom Cruise Scares Me". I also decided to include within that song the verse about Sarah Palin... and the fact that "...she won't go away".

Well, so many people think she's going away. They're wrong. They think that because she announced her resignation yesterday, that she is somehow nobly bowing out of politics and gracefully exiting center-stage.

Bullshit.

I submit those people don't have a clue about human nature and the type of spotlight-craving lightweight Ms. Sarah Palin has shown herself to be.

I have 2 words for you.

"Talk Show"

No, let's make that 4 words...

"Fox News Talk Show"

If you think she hasn't already been offered something like that behind the scenes, you're crazy.

*************************

But, don't take my word for it. Go back and check out the update for last year.

.

.

Okay. I just wanna say thanks again for another typically amazing year in 2009. (But, THIS lap around the Sun is gonna be even more amazing... I can quietly feel it deep inside.)

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
- Dean
