Got some really cool stuff goin' on around here these days.
AND... I'm workin' on an idea for the next very cool idea, very cool event, very cool project... very cool possibility.
(Yes! You guys already know, I'm a possibility-junkie".)
I'LL BE ABLE TO TELL YOU MORE ABOUT THAT IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS, I HOPE.
Today, I'm going through the comments that many of you have been sending into the website in response to yesterday's update about religion and the "news" media.. (Kind of an interesting undertaking, since it seems that my audience are all pretty thoughtful, reasonable people. That's good news for me!)
THANKS to all of you who have been sending thoughts and comments. I'm posting a few of your comments today, and I'll post a few more tomorrow after today's update as well.
Let's start out today with a beautiful written, intensely portrayed scene from the 1960 classic film "Inherit the Wind".
And then.... here. Here's my original song to download for free again.
I just wanna say thanks again for another typically amazing year in 2009. (But, THIS lap around the Sun is gonna be even more amazing... I can quietly feel it deep inside.)

(Like I said, I was really gratified by all the feedback. If there are any
negative comments, as you know, I always post them as well. There simply
weren't this time around.)

Well, You say it so very well ! And I can't say it any better ! There should be more David Ippolito's in this world !!! You're like a refreshing, clear thinking/speaker/messenger...I totally agree w/you. What do we call Brit Hume's way ??? Ignorance ! Thanks David and PEACE Ossie

You make more and more sense, David. You know, I saw that clip too and I'll have to admit, at first, I didn't make the connection. I thought journalists, were supposed to remain objective and not express an opinion (or endorse anything), one way or the other (on air). If Hume had suggested Woods "turn to" Islam, it wouldn't even be an issue - Fox News would fire him before he even finished the sentence, claiming he was trying to recruit terrorists. Hume clearly was not objective and I believe, along with being fired, should no longer be allowed to call himself a journalist. Francesca

If you're new around here, you might wanna take a little time to browse "The Archive". I realize a lot of you here in New York City, in different parts of the the country and in different parts of the world check in here almost every day and there's usually some kind of new content here.
I'll be back with more on this subject that is so very important to me.
And, ALL NEW stuff later this week.
Thanks for showing up.
I didn't forget what I said about letting you guys in on the plans for the next LIVE event here in New York City. That's coming soon, I hope. I think I have a GREAT idea!
See you tomorrow.
PEACE

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
