We are all getting together in a beautiful theater... a wonderful music venue called Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman building near Lincoln Center.
"THE SOMETHING'TH ANNUAL YEAR END CONCERT"
I hafta tell you... Merkin Hall is a 500 seat theater that sounds great!!! And right now there are only about 150 tickets left. But there isn't a bad seat in that house. Seriously... it's a very intimate venue.
Now, the box office is closed today! BUT if you want to grab your seats today, you can do it ONLINE
Or hit this banner to order your tickets online!
Oh! As a quick aside... forget the stuff I wrote in yesterday's update. I've gotten over the crap that I was dealt by a little man over at Time Warner Media Sales, and the smarmy business practices of Time Warner. I decided I'm NOT gonna give you his name or go into what happened except among my friends. And last night I decided NOT to expose or embarrass him by talking to Clyde Haberman of the New York Times. ('Cause y'know, Clyde and I were invited to a beautiful event filled with beautiful people and I didn't wanna spoil the energy.) And besides... my motive would not be noble. It would be vengeful. And y'know what?
This lightweight is not worth it.
I've got too much fun comin' up and I've got too much beauty and fun in my life. So, with all the Love in my heart that I can muster I'm gonna say...
F*ck it! I'm movin'on.
It's a Wonderful Life!!!!
Y'think?

Right!?
Oh and listen... that event I attended last night! It was something that is kinda typical of my life and the kind of thing that goes on in my world. It was soooooo cool.
But, honestly... I wouldn't be able to do it justice in a brief update today. So, after the concert is all finished for another year, I'm gonna tell you all a story here at the website on Sunday, December 20.
It's a long story.... but it's a Good story.
Right now, let's post a little encore of one of this year's holiday greeting.
Oh yeah!!!

Gimme a shout!
His name is Dimitri!!!
If you see him around Manhattan, say "Hi" to him! He's a nice guy! And then shoot me an email and let me know where you spotted him!
AND THEN (if you haven't already) be sure to grab your tickets for the concert so you don't get sold out of it!
Who's the luckiest man alive? (I am. Right?)
I mean, in one week... we'll be doing a whole bunch of new songs from the latest album, and I'll be joined on stage by some of the most generous, open-hearted, talented, good people... really wonderful artists. George Wurzbach, Ryan Cavan, Nelson Montana, Dave Marcus, Chris Tedesco and Cenovia Cummins. Folk-legend, Christine Lavin is gonna be in the house and will probably jump in on a few things. The man who brought The Beatles to America, Mr. Sid Bernstein, is gonna be in the audience so we'll all be in the company of American music history. AND... we laugh as much as we sing at these gigs.
.
You're not gonna wanna miss this one. This year it's on a SATURDAY NIGHT - - December 12th.
This year we're also gonna be joined on stage by newcomer, the beautiful and talented Teresa Reynolds.

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
