Okay...

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO GET YOUR CAPTIONS IN FOR THE "SARAH PALIN CAPTION CONTEST"!!! (Further down the page.)

I have another fun update for you today! And we're less than 2 weeks away from getting together at Merkin Concert Hall.

Man! We're gonna have a great time. I love my Life! I love writing songs and singin' them for you guys. I love being "That Guitar Man from Central Park".

.

BUT...

.

Before we get to today's update, I need to say...

.

.

After we're all finished with 2009...

.

.

After the holiday season passes for another year...

.

.

After I've announced the "Contest Winner" tomorrow...

.

.

After we've had another wonderful night at...

.

.

.

.

And right after the New Year begins...

.

.

.

I've got to get back to work, writing songs that "comfort the disturbed... and disturb the comfortable."

.

.

Because I listened to President Obama's speech last night about escalating the war in Afghanistan.

And...

But, we'll let it be... just for a little while.

.

Okay, on with today's update.

Have you gotten your tickets yet!? I'm gonna check the box office on Friday to let you know the availability situation before the weekend.

This year's concert is gonna be a blast! I was thinking about asking my old friend Tiger Woods introduce the show that night. But on second thought, I though it might not be a really good idea.

He usually likes to drive to Manhattan.

I'll tell you who is gonna be there, though! Folk-legend, Christine Lavin is gonna be in the house and will probably jump in on a few things. The man who brought The Beatles to America, Mr. Sid Bernstein, is gonna be in the audience so we'll all be in the company of American music history.

And I'll be joined on stage by some of the most generous, open-hearted, talented, good people... really wonderful artists. George Wurzbach, Ryan Cavan, Nelson Montana, Dave Marcus, Chris Tedesco and Cenovia Cummins.

.

You're not gonna wanna miss this one. This year it's on a SATURDAY NIGHT - - December 12th.

I think the best way to make sure you get the very best seats still available is to call the box office directly between noon and 7:00

Or you can click on this banner to grab tickets online

This year we're also gonna be joined on stage by newcomer, the beautiful and talented Teresa Reynolds.

It's really kinda cool. The emails are flying. I can't post them all. But I'll just grab a random bunch and give you an idea of how clever, funny, silly and sometimes downright twisted a lot of you are!!!

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
- Dean
