Got some NEWS today about the concert in December!!!

I just got the confirmation... and guess who's definitely gonna be joining us on stage again this year!

Remember that guy from last year who jammed in the fiddle and the mandolin!?

Yeah... Chris Tedesco has told me that he's available to do the gig again this year. THIS IS GONNA BE A BLAST!!! (More about the concert a little further down the page. And the audaciously, outrageous TV commercial idea! That's here today, too!)

Okay, I promised you guys at least one original video from The Yankees game on Wednesday night. I was really slammin' busy with all kindsa stuff yesterday. And my voice is SHOT from being in that stadium for the World Series win. But, I did throw something together. (It'll be here tomorrow.)

AND... I think I'm writing a brand new song for the concert in 5 weeks. Don't know yet. These things, writing songs and Creative endeavors in general, are always an ambush and almost always a complete surprise to me. But, we'll see.

So, I just wanna start of today by saying again... THANK YOU for allowing me to be "That Guitar Man from Central Park", thank you for making me part of this city, and thank you for letting me be a part of your lives.

Man! I love this time of year!

Y'know?

If you've been coming around here for any amount of time, you know how much I love this town. I love it in the Spring when I'm just heading out to Central Park to start a new season of music and laughs. I love the thought of "possibility"! It's the time of year in Central Park when tulips are pushing there way up through their dead relatives to make the world colorful again, and when pretty women begin to lose some laundry in the warm sunshine.

I love Summer in the city... baseball, hot dogs, July 4th fireworks, concerts in the park.

And this time of year, Autumn in New York and into the first days of Winter.... Man! As a hopelessly heterosexual, red-blooded American man I actually like it when women begin to put their clothes back on! I love watching the sweaters and wool skirts and knee-high boots come out, pretty women in funky hats with mittens and scarves.

I love the change of seasons... the trees blazing with color in Central Park, the first chill in the air and the very first snow flurry. I love all the tradition that comes with this time of year in New York City... The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Miracle on 34th Street, the Rockelfeller Center Christmas Tree, The Radio City Music Hall Spectacular, ice skaters in Central Park... New Year's Eve at the crossroads of the entire world, Times Square.

But, for me personally, something that has become one of my favorite traditions... (Yeah, after so many years I'm sure it's a tradition for a lot of people.) ...yeah, one of my favorite traditions every year is...

"THE SOMETHING'TH ANNUAL YEAR END CONCERT"

This year along with George Wurzbach, Ryan Cavan and Dave Marcus, you guys are gonna get to hang with some wonderful artists - - Nelson Montana, Cenovia Cummins, Chris Tedesco a few surprise guests...

.

... and this year the beautiful and talented Teresa Reynolds will be joining us.

Seriously, you're NOT gonna wanna miss this. Click on the image.

Now...

That's just the first of 2 TV commercial spots I shot with my good colleagues and part-time criminal friends, Dean Love, Dave Love and James DeForte. (The second one is... well, it's a surprise.)

NOW!!!!

If you wanna help get these things on the air in Manhattan during The Daily Show with Jon Stewart sometime in the next few weeks, jump in and donate a few dollars to this fund!!!

Be a part of something that's pretty daring for an independent artist and his friends to be doing.

It's the TV AD Campaign of 2009... and yes, I'm out of my mind. You can also just go to the link in the right hand corner at the top of this page and reach the donation page that way, too.

Oh, oh, oh...

But before we go any further today, I have a little Public Service Announcement which has to do with the upcoming concert and some events that are in the news these days. (It all kinda ties into the concept for the second TV commercial we're workin' on as well.)

Click on this image for this important announcement.

So...

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
- Dean
