Have you been coming around here for a while? Is this your first time here?
Well, if you're a newcomer... Man! you've got a lot of catching up to do. Hit the "Archive" and browse backward through the update to get an idea of what goes on around here!
But, if you've been coming around you know that I've been promising a sample of the entries so far in the "Create a Caption Contest".
Well, I posted some of your captions today... a little further down the page. Some of them are f*cking hysterical. And YOUR chance to be a little silly and enter the contest is down there, too.
First of all, once again I wanna thank every single one of you who've spent just even one afternoon hangin' out with me in Central Park. Here re a few images from the summer season.

First up.. TODAY IS FRIDAY AND THE MERKIN CONCERT HALL BOX OFFICE is closed on Saturday. So, if you wanted to call a few friends, get 'em together for Saturday night, December 12th and order your tickets, you might wanna do that today between noon and 5:00.
Seriously... gather a few friends and call the box office:

Make a night of it, or come by yourself. It's actually a great gig to fly solo. The vibe in that room and that crowd is great! You can also click on this banner to grab tickets online:
This year we're gonna be joined on stage by newcomer, the beautiful and talented Teresa Reynolds.

...and by the usual cast of characters.
Really wonderful artists... George Wurzbach, Ryan Cavan, Nelson Montana, Dave Marcus, Chris Tedesco and Cenovia Cummins. Folk-legend, Christine Lavin is gonna be in the house and will probably jump in on a few things. The man who brought The Beatles to America, Mr. Sid Bernstein, is gonna be in the audience so we'll all be in the company of American music history. AND... we laugh as much as we sing at these gigs.

It's really kinda cool. The emails are flying. I can't post them all. But I'll just grab a random bunch and give you an idea of how clever, funny, silly and sometimes downright twisted a lot of you are!!!
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
