Hey... this week at the website was fun.

Next week is gonna be off-the-hook. A lot goin' on around here.

Earlier today I said that you guys might wanna check back a little bit later for something new that I'm working on! Well, 8 hours and an incredibly stiff neck later.... I'm still not finished. So, please show up tomorrow to let me know what you think of this new work of madness! (I think it's one you're definitely gonna want to pass around the internet.)

But, for now I gotta start out again by saying one thing very simply. It's something I say often, but I mean it every time.

THANKS.

Thanks to some of the people out there whom I've gotten to know personally over the years. (You know who you are.) And thanks to so many of you who know me and my music, but I've never gotten to know very well or perhaps whom I've never even met at all.

Thank you for the "shouts" the other day here on the site, and thank you for allowing me to be "That Guitar Man from Central Park".

NOW!!!!

Heading into an off-season weekend when we're not gonna get to hang out together and share music and laughs in Central Park, here are a couple of announcements.

Next week, a few cool things are gonna happen around here and on television. Here at the site, I'm going to introduce 2 brand new features... a "VIDEO GALLERY" and a very-nearly complete "PHOTOSHOP GALLERY" from updates over the past years.

Next week these 2 banners will connect you to new places where you can view a whole lotta fun content in one place!

That's gonna be pretty cool. AND... next week you're also gonna wanna stop in every day along with, hopefully, a whole bunch of newcomers who just might be showing up here for the first time.

Seriously.

I'm crazy and I'm just about to pull something off that is pretty nuts! But, I need your help if you can donate a few bucks. We're gonna pull this off!!!

Here's one of two 30-second TV spots I'm planning on getting on the air during The Daily Show next week.

Like I said, I'm gonna need YOUR help to get them on the air. If you feel like being part of something kinda crazy for an independent musician to do without the backing of a record company, or an agency, or a manager or anything else... it's just us!

Click on this banner to donate whatever you can!

It's the TV AD Campaign of 2009... and yes, I'm out of my mind. You can also just go to the link in the right hand corner at the top of this page and reach the donation page that way, too.

Oh, oh, oh...

But before we go any further today, I have a little Public Service Announcement which has to do with the upcoming concert and some events that are in the news these days. (It all kinda ties into the concept for the second TV commercial we're workin' on as well.)

So...

ARE YOU GONNA BE AT THE GIG?

You can call the box office right now to get tickets.

Or click on this banner to order tickets online!

This year we'll be doing a whole bunch of new songs from the latest album, and I'll be joined on stage by favorites George Wurzbach, Ryan Cavan, Nelson Montana, Chris Tedesco and Dave Marcus. Gonna be a blast! And this year we'll be joined by the beautiful and talented Cenovia Cummins and Teresa Reynolds.

Okay, I'm outta here. I'll be back tomorrow with another update.

Thanks so much for hangin' out and checking in here.

Thanks for everything.

.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
