Welcome to the website for Tuesday...

Sorry for the late update.

Y'know, I like to do my best to make this thing kind of entertaining every single day. (It's hard!)

It's not like there's a staff of writers and Photoshop artists and producers and directors and stuff. It's pretty much a one-man gig over here sittin' at this computer every day. (Well, and all the backup and support I get from webmaster James Marino, Laura Manske, Kara Unterberg and "The Allie Corps".)

And between the final day of my season in Central Park and "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" there's an awful lotta work to do.

Like this past weekend, me and the kids were in rehearsals for the gig on December 12th.... Saturday with George, Teresa and Dave to kick around some vocal parts, and on Sunday at Ultrasound Studios with George, Ryan and Nelson to pull some of the music together.

.
We had the first vocal rehearsal in a very cool place.

Got a great feeling about this gig.

I got an email from George this morning about a new song he's written that we'll debut at this upcoming concert, and at the end of his message he wrote, "I think this will be the finest ?th annual holiday show I have had the pleasure to be a part of."

.

.

I think he's right.

Of course... this is such an exciting time of year here in New York City. I mean, besides the fact of the Thanksgiving Day Parade, the lighting of the Rockefeller Christmas Tree in December, we get to have a blast at our own tradition at "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert".

All that and...

LEVI JOHNSTON CAME TO TOWN THIS WEEK!!!!

Who?

Yeah, he's that bonehead from the Dysfunctional North who's gonna do a naked photo shoot for Playgirl magazine to make a few bucks and ostensibly embarrass his almost mother-in-law Sarah Palin. (As if she needs someone else to embarrass her!)

.

Gonna be amusing to watch this coming Monday when she goes on Oprah to hawk her silly book and he does that shoot the same day. (Well, I'm wrong. It might be amusing for about 10 minutes.) Here's ust one verse of the track "Tom Cruise Scares Me" from my latest CD. (Here's a tiny clip)

JUST ONE VERSE!

Since these silly people won't just GO AWAY.... we'll have some fun with them next week.

In the meantime...

Have YOU grabbed your tickets for the concert in December!?

If you haven't gotten them yet, the box office is open today. You can give them a call between noon and 7 pm.

This year is gonna be something special.

I can feel it already. I mean 2009 has been another pretty amazing year. But, I think we're all ready to get together in Merkin Concert Hall again and give it a good kick in the ass as it heads out the door.

LISTEN.... check back here tomorrow and I'll have a whole bunch of stuff about the gig.

And if you're new around here or you're checking in from a different part of the country or a different part o the world, make sure you browse through the "ARCHIVE" for all kindsa cool stuff - - FREE songs to download, Photoshop images, music videos, original cartoons.

.

Thanks for a GREAT year!

Thank you to every single one of you who showed up even once to hang with me in Central Park.

.

See you on December 12!!!

Thanks again.

.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
