Today I'm getting together with Teresa Reynolds, George Wurzbach and Dave Marcus is in town all the way up from Maryland for a vocal rehearsal... and tomorrow it's the band. We're gonna kinda run through some ideas for "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert". (Tell you more about that in a minute.)
But, first...
Thanks again to everyone who spent even one afternoon of music and laughs with me out in Central Park in 2009. Just another typically amazing year.

Oh yeah...
And before we get into the concert, I promised to give you guys a little taste of what it was like up at Yankee Stadium this past Wednesday night.
So cool to be in the middle of over 50,000 people celebrating.... anything! But for me it's extra cool to be in the middle of a piece of New York City history.

Yeah, what a night.
And, we've got something coming up that has become a very under-the-radar New York City tradition for me and whole lot of other people.
"THE SOMETHING'TH ANNUAL YEAR END CONCERT" at Merkin Concert Hall.
Here's a little promo.
Yeah, Teresa Reynolds is gonna be singing with me this year.

And like I've said, I'll be sharing the stage with George Wurzbach, Ryan Cavan, Nelson Montana, Dave Marcus, Cenovia Cummins and Chris Tedesco.
Gonna be a blast!!!! The feeling in that theater is something really special every year. So call a few friends and make a night of it. Or... come by yourself. It's absolutely a cool gig to come solo. Nothin' but cool people and good times in that hall!!!
Seriously, you're NOT gonna wanna miss this. Click on the image.
So, today... I'm running some song that I KNOW we'll be singing on December 12. But, you guys who've been at these shows know... we very often wind up making it up as e go along.
If you wanna get tickets you can grab some today "online" by clicking on this banner.
Or you can call the box office directly tomorrow.

Okay, I'm gonna leave you today with just another one of the many videos we posted here at the website this season.
And at one point this summer, a young couple (Girl from Budapest and guy from Toronto) asked for The Beatles' "Hey Jude". Well, she told me she had to ask because she said he was too shy. Now, I played the song he requested and the people all sang it. But... (Here's something you won't see in the video.) ...when we got to the climax o the song, I waved to Mr. Shyness to jump in and sing it with me. AND HE DID!!!! (Listen closely. When you hear someone goin' nuts at the end of the song, that's him. Will from Toronto.)

So, so very cool.
And since he didn't get his singing debut into the video, I thought I'd post this photo for the kids to send to all their friends around the world

I'll definitely be back here tomorrow with another new update. Keep checkin' back, okay? If you're new around here, or if you're checking in from a different part of the country or a different part of the world, take a few minutes (or hours) to browse through the ARCHIVE. Lotsa cool shit in there.
Keep showing up guys.
Thanks for everything. Thanks for another great season.
Love you all.

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
