Okay, listen... I get a lot of email from people telling me how much they get a kick out of the Photoshop images I've done and posted on thatguitarman.com.

Funny thing...

I started out having, and still have pretty much NO idea what I'm doing technically. (I guess it helps to have made a living as a professional graphic artist years ago.) But... Ha! I've never read the damned manual. I just started making it up as I went along, every time I got another silly idea. And the next thing you know, one day I was speaking with my good friend and webmaster, James Marino, and I said to him, "Y'know James, I think I'm getting pretty good at this Photoshop thing."

He replied, "No, Dave. You're not getting good. You ARE good."

So, now I just have fun it it.

I'm just gonna post a whole bunch of images from over the years. They're not in any particular order, but I can spot the early ones by the quality of the images. I was on a learning curve.

But, man! I've had an awful lot of laugh-out-loud moments all alone working on these things.

Through elections and cultural events, through good times and bad, through the insane and the sublime... sometimes the simplest or most powerful way to make a point is with a well crafted lyric in a song, or through humor... or through an image like any of these.
