Let's start right out with that fun video from this past summer!

And then we'll get into it for today!

.

Okay, this might be fun and a little different!!!

What are you doing today? I'm serious... YOU.

Gimme a shout!!!

Where are you reading this update? Are you at work? Are you at home? Do you live here in New York City?

If you're not in NYC, where DO you live?

Are you coming to the concert in December? Are you a regular who likes to hang out with me in Central Park on warm summer afternoons? Have ever been to "The Hill" in Central Park to share music and laughs with me, or did you start coming here by accident?

.

Have we ever spoken? Do you have a favorite song?

Here's the thing...

I'm just having one of those days. Y'know? If you look at 99% of the websites for musical artists of any kind, you'll notice that they're pretty stagnant. In other words, they put up a site to make their music available and maybe list a calendar of appearances and that's that. I don't really see any other independent artists who update their sites every day. (It sometimes gets to be a full-time job!)

Now sure, I look at the statistics for this site. I see the stats on how many visitors stop by here daily and how many pages they look at and whatnot. But, it starts to feel like nothing more than cold numbers. Some days, I sit at this computer creating Photoshop images, making jokes and editing video, writing comments and uploading FREE songs to make available... and it starts to feel like I'm talking to myself.

So, today if you would... gimme a shout.

Take just a minute and have fun! Just shoot a quick email, okay?

Now...

Another question.

It has to do with Sarah Palin. (Yeah, yeah. I know. But she won't go away!)

Am I the only person in the world who sees the word "rouge" in the title of soon-to-be-released tome!? In my eye, I keep seeing the "u" in the wrong place. I don't know why. Maybe because "rogue" is a word we all use, y'know, every day. I don't know.

Going Rogue?

Going Red?

Going Rouge?

This pops into my mind.

By the way...

You can always feel free to download these Photoshop images and pass them around the internet. I don't care. It's the Wild West in here.

Or just send people a heads-up and point 'em at this website!

Okay, back to the REAL stuff! The fun stuff.

"The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" is less than 5 weeks away!!!!

Have YOU grabbed your tickets yet!?

If you haven't gotten them yet, the box office is open today. You can give them a call between noon and 7 pm.

This year the concert is gonna be something special. I can feel it already. I mean 2009 has been another pretty amazing year. But, I think we're all ready to get together in Merkin Concert Hall again and give it a good kick in the ass as it heads out the door.

LISTEN... we'll be doing a whole bunch of new songs from the latest album, and I'll be joined on stage by favorites George Wurzbach, Ryan Cavan, Nelson Montana, Chris Tedesco, Cenovia Cummins and Dave Marcus. Gonna be a blast! And this year we'll be joined by the beautiful and talented Teresa Reynolds.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
