FUN UPDATE TODAY! With a very important Public Service Announcement.
But first, well okay... so it looks like the boys are comin' home to win it all tomorrow night in the new house. They made it close, climbing back into it the late innings but falling short.
They'll get 'em at home!
Remember, before the post-season even started in baseball I predicted The Yankees would win it all in 6 games. (Okay, I though they'd be facing the Dodgers, but what the hell.) Still, down in Philadelphia last night, The Phillies played a helluva a game, and got a great game from pitcher Cliff Lee to stay alive.
Here in New York City, we're all getting closer to "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert".
Wanna start today's update, though, with a little video from this past summer. (What a great year we had out there in Central Park this season - year number 18 together, sharing music and laughs and stories and thoughts and feelings... Good times.)

Okay now!
You guys all know that I will be on stage at Merkin Concert Hall on December 12 with a whole bunch of wonderful artists for "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert".
Well... some friends, colleagues and a whole bunch of you in Central Park shot a couple of TV commercials for that event, and I'd like to see 'em begin airing during The Daily Show with Jon Stewart in a couple of weeks.
Seriously... I need your help if you can donate a few bucks. We're gonna pull this off!!!
Here's the first of 2 spots.

Like I said, I'm gonna need YOUR help to get them on the air. If you feel like being part of something kinda crazy for an independent musician to do without the backing of a record company, or an agency, or a manager or anything else... it's just us!

It's the TV AD Campaign of 2009... and yes, I'm out of my mind. You can also just go to the link in the right hand corner at the top of this page and reach the donation page that way, too.
Oh, oh, oh...
But before we go any further today, I have a little Public Service Announcement which has to do with the upcoming concert and some events that are in the news these days. (It all kinda ties into the concept for the second TV commercial we're workin' on as well.)

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
