Today is a day to really enjoy...

TURKEY!

Turkey

Get it?

Uy. (Tried that same gag last year.)

.

Very cool holiday.

.

I hope wherever you're reading this, in New York City or anywhere else in this country, I hope you're really enjoying this holiday.... just to take a few moments to really "pay attention" and be grateful to be alive. No matter where in the world you're reading this, I hope you're feeling the same thing with all your heart.

I'm so thankful that you're here... checking in at this website.

Thank you.

Hey listen!

We have an awful lotta fun around here. And we've got...

"THE SOMETHING'TH ANNUAL YEAR END CONCERT"

...coming up in a little over 2 weeks from now. It's very cool. And, we also have a lot of cool shit here at the website. If you're new around here. or you're checking in from a different part o the country or a different part of the world you can always hit The Archive and browse back through the previous updates.

To make some of that even easier, we've added 2 brand new galleries:

But Man!!!!

I'm soooooooo disappointed.

I can't seem to find a Thanksgiving Day classic... a memory that I love so much. Can't find it listed as being on television today! If anyone knows if "The March of the Wooden Soldiers" is on TV, please email me through the website!!!!

When I was a kid, it was something that I always looked forward to. Then I guess there were a few years where I lost my way. But now as a grown man, the kid inside me starts to look forward to it again.

It's funny. When I was a boy I also never noticed how really, really cute Charlotte Henry was. She played "Bo Peep". Now in this amazing information age of the internet, I was able to search her and find her headshots, publicity photos.... even a photo of this lovely woman before she died in 1980.

Y'know? I guess we tend NOT to notice that there are real people playing these characters... y'know? Life is such a bittersweet and wonderful ride. It's something to be treasured and it's a fascinating mystery to be lived. Charlotte, at one time, was a young actress with hopes and dreams and an entire life beyond the role for which she is even vaguely remembered.

.

(sigh)

Really enjoy and embrace today, okay?

.

Okay ANYWAY!!!!!

Enjoy today. But if you haven't gotten your tickets for the concert in December..... call the box office TOMORROW!!!!

THE CONCERT

You guys have made me "That Guitar Man from Central Park" for 18 years now. Very under-the-radar. What a gig! What a Life! Thank you!

At the end of every lap around the Sun we get together and kick the year in the ass as it heads out the door in a great music venue near Lincoln Center... Merkin Concert Hall in the Kaufman Center.

This year we'll be doing a whole bunch of new songs from the latest album, and I'll be joined on stage by some of the most generous, open-hearted, talented, good people... really wonderful artists. George Wurzbach, Ryan Cavan, Nelson Montana, Dave Marcus, Chris Tedesco and Cenovia Cummins. Folk-legend, Christine Lavin is gonna be in the house and will probably jump in on a few things. The man who brought The Beatles to America, Mr. Sid Bernstein, is gonna be in the audience so we'll all be in the company of American music history. AND... we laugh as much as we sing at these gigs.

.

You're not gonna wanna miss this one. This year it's on a SATURDAY NIGHT - - December 12th.

You can click on this banner to grab tickets online

This year we're also gonna be joined on stage by newcomer, the beautiful and talented Teresa Reynolds.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
